ANIJAH SLIPPED THE red bodycon dress over her torso and admired how it fit her through her full sized mirror in her and her boyfriends bathroom. elijah had told anijah to be ready by 9:00 and told her he would be taking her somewhere special that night.
she rolled the perfume on her wrist, neck and inner elbows making sure she smelt extraordinary for the date tonight. once done with that she slipped her red heels on to match her dress.
"baby? you almost done?" anijah asked walking out the bathroom to see her boyfriend sitting on the bed on his phone. he looked up and nodded making anijah frown a little bit.
the past few weeks, elijah had been acting different and anijah could see a difference in their relationship. he started focusing his attention less on her and more into his phone any other thing but her.
she would try to communicate with him and see what was wrong but he would always tell her its nothing and that she's just overreacting. she was actually suprised when she got a text saying he would be taking her out.
"okay well im done so we can go head and go if you want." anijah smiled walking over to him to hug him but he quickly backed away and dropped his phone on the bed. "alright, let me use the bathroom then we can." he said walking into the bathroom shutting the door behind him.
anijah frowned again. the two were 1 year and 10 months into the relationship and she knew all relationships went through stages so she tried her best to try to fight through it.
as soon as she sat on the bed, his phone dinged and she turned her head towards it before looking back at hers. it dinged another time and another time after that. "maybe it's important.." she muttered grabbing it and turning it over.
her face scrunched up at the sight of the contact name that texted his phone. "settings?" she muttered in confusion. she knew the password to his phone but she never checked it since he made the rule in their relationship to have "trust" and not go through each others stuff.
she typed it in to see what the messages were and that move right there was what she regretted to this day. "w-what.." she spoke while reading the messages.
when can i see you again? tomorrow same time as last friday? i miss you baby😫
tears rolled down her face as she stared at the messages before scrolling up reading the rest of the messages they shared. she couldnt believe her eyes. all the love she gave him and he had the nerve to do this. 1year and 10 months down the drain.
