Taehyung, a devil who fell deeply in love with an angel, faces heartbreak when she dies. Reincarnated as a human in another life, she is unaware of her past. Determined to reunite with her, Taehyung transforms himself into a human, but in doing so...
Taehyung groaned as he came to, his head pounding from the aftermath of last night's ritual. He pushed himself up from the cold, stone floor of his basement, blinking against the dim light that barely penetrated the dusty air. The basement was a mess—candles burnt down to stubs, strange symbols smeared across the floor, and remnants of herbs scattered everywhere.
He stood up, shaking off the remnants of sleep, and made his way to the large magical mirror that dominated one wall of the room. The mirror, encased in an ornate, gilded frame, began to glow brighter as he approached. Taehyung's heart raced with anticipation.
"Mirror," he commanded, standing before it with a mix of anxiety and excitement. "What happened last night after I performed the ritual?"
The mirror's surface shimmered, and a deep, resonant voice echoed through the room. "Master, your ritual has been successful."
Taehyung's eyes widened with excitement. "Tell me more. What happened?"
The mirror's light pulsed gently as it spoke. "The ritual you performed last night has altered her. Her eyes have changed to blue."
A thrill ran through Taehyung. His magic was working. The spell he had poured so much of his energy into was finally taking effect. The change in her eye color was the first sign of his success.
Without another word, Taehyung dashed up the stairs to his bedroom, thoughts of her consuming his mind. His magic was finally working on her, bringing him one step closer to the love he had been striving for.

In the library, YN was frantically scanning the rows of dusty bookshelves, her eyes darting from title to title. The book that had haunted her thoughts since yesterday was nowhere to be found, and her impatience was growing. She brushed a strand of hair out of her face and moved to the next aisle, hoping for a stroke of luck.
