after your conversation with rin at the coffee shop, your mind was finally able to settle down. if your journal could talk, it would be incredibly thankful that you finally put the pen down and had a real conversation with the man instead of scribbling all of your thoughts onto the paper.
it's safe to say that your friendship with rin is still in tact, even though you're not sure where it will go in the future. you were trying not to dwell on what's to come and focus on what's happening in the moment. you were happy.
you were very happy. almost a little too giddy whenever you would text him at random hours of the day and he would, begrudgingly, respond. you couldn't exactly prove it, due to his dry tone, but you knew he liked texting you too.
it was currently the weekend and you've spent most of your saturday laying in bed, dreading the responsibilities that would come monday morning. plus, your room was nice and cozy compared to the crisp winter air that circulated outside.
you were currently curled up in your soft comforter, surrounded by the ambient lighting caused by your warm lamp. your body being hugged by the soft pajama set that you bought during a shopping spree with bachira.
this was truly what heaven felt like.
well, it was the most heavenly feeling ever until the incessant vibrations from your phone pulled you out of your sweet relaxation. you groaned before pausing the show you were watching to check your phone.
surprisingly, it was sae. he never usually calls you so you were genuinely curious as to what he wanted.
"hello?" you calmly answered the phone before putting it on speaker.
"hey, y/n. can i ask you a favor?"
you raised your eyebrows before responding, "yeah, what's up?"
sae sighed before he continued, "so, rin, like an idiot, got himself sick after deciding it was an amazing idea to train with isagi and bachira while it was snowing. i was wondering if you were free to come check up on him in about an hour or so since i have errands today?" he finished.
honestly you had a feeling at least one of the three were going to get sick. they were the only ones crazy enough to go out in the harsh weather even after everyone else in the group chat told them it wasn't a great idea.
"yeah, i can do that!" you responded. sae has done a lot for you, so it's only fair for you to return this simple favor. plus, it's rin. how hard could it be to just check up on him?

"please leave. why are you even here?" rin questioned at the very first sight of you as he opened the door. his tone was nasty. not only because he was congested but also because it was just downright mean.
