another update??

it's been almost two weeks since the weekend that rin was sick. surprisingly, you didn't get sick after being in such close proximity to him for several hours and you were very joyful about it.

since then, you've only seen rin once outside of school. honestly, you were feeling kind of sad about it. even though you've slightly addressed the feelings you feel towards him, you still didn't want to admit that you miss him. even though you do.

it's currently friday evening, and since you have nothing better to do, you decided to stop lounging around your house and walk to the nearby convenience store to purchase some gummy candy.

before you did that though, you made sure to grab a thicker jacket so that you don't absolutely freeze from the winter air. since it was later in the evening, the sun looked like it was getting ready to set so you figured you should hurry despite it only being a 7 minute walk.

you began to slightly regret your decision of not bringing your car the moment the cold air hit your face. you did all of that studying and practicing for your license so why not use it? your excuse for walking instead of driving was that you "needed" to get out of the house, anyway. despite only just getting home from school a few hours ago.

you picked up your pace as you saw the convenience store coming into view. it wasn't that your body was cold, it was the fact that your ears felt like they were about to freeze off. you cursed at yourself for not thinking to bring a scarf or maybe even earmuffs.

you let out a sigh of relief the moment you swung open the store's door and was met with the warm air that circulated through the building.

you greeted the store owner with a warm smile that was sweetly reciprocated. you wasted no time making a beeline for the aisle with the candy that you were specifically looking for.

you were already expecting to quickly grab it so you can get out of there before the sun sets even more than it already has. what you weren't expecting was to hear two voices arguing in said aisle. only to turn the corner and see shidou, sae, and rin.

of course, it was rin and shidou arguing while sae did absolutely nothing to stop it. you couldn't even see what they could possibly be arguing about in a place like this, but at least they were respectful enough to be quieter about it.

you cleared your throat before speaking, "what are you three doing?" you questioned. this seemed to immediately get their attention as the two boys stopped arguing and sae, who was crouched down looking at the lower shelves, averted his attention to your familiar voice.

"y/n!"

"y/n?"

the once bickering duo voiced out. one much more excited than the other before he pushed rin aside to come closer to you—which rin took much offense to as he scoffed.
