Our Happy Ending

Chapter Three

Third Person's Pov...

"Oh! Here you are, Lily!" Ryujin said, smiling widely at her daughter. Lia's parents were having dinner with them unexpectedly. Lily came to a halt, seeing her grandparents look at her judgmentally. She took a deep breath before taking her respective seat. "Good afternoon, grandfather, grandmother."

"What aren't you going to stand up and say to us?" Lia's mom frowned, looking straight at Lily. Lily's grandfather also seemed dissatisfied with Lily's actions. Yuna looked at Lily with great worry. If she got too close, the makeup would be too obvious. She felt unsteady seeing her sister approach their grandparents.

"I'm very sorry." Lily said, and Ryujin nodded, allowing Lily to go back to her seat. "So, Mr. Choi-"

"Shut up. Do you always talk so much, Ryujin?" Her grandfather said Lia kept quiet. They were her parents, but they were also powerful. Ryujin bowed her head; it was actually the first word she had said since they arrived and, of course, since Lily arrived.

Lily could see how tense her mother was, along with her mom. "I'm a little full. May I be excused?" Lily asked, standing up slowly. Her grandparents seemed to dislike the thought of it even more. "What are you? An animal?" He said and Ryujin pressed her fork down onto the table.

"Mr. Choi..."

"Shut up-"

"Get out of my home." Ryujin sternly looked at both of them. "What?" He asked, standing up, trying to intimidate her.

"Mother-" Lily tried to intervene, but she kept mum after her mother glared at her. "You heard me, Mr. Choi." She rolled up her sleeves. "Who the hell do you think you are!?" He yelled at the top of his lungs. Ms. Choi started crying, of course, making a scene for attention.

"Look what you just did! Lia, do you really want to be with this monkey!?" He pointed his finger at Lia, who still remained seated. "Mr. Choi, get out of my home. You are not welcome here!" Ryujin raised her voice. She tried to remain as respectful as possible.

Ryujin didn't care if he insulted her and treated her like garbage, but the moment he disrespected Lily, her daughter, it was over for him. Ryujin never lets anyone call her children names or mistreat them.

She surely wasn't making an exception for Lia's parents. "Grandma. Please stop crying." Lily said, trying to comfort her grandmother, "How can I when I am being prohibited from seeing my grandchildren? YOU MONSTER!" She said, wailing—all an act. That's what it was. It was a lame, pathetic act.

"Lia. We're leaving; let's go now!" Mr. Choi said, grabbing Lia by the arm harshly. She winced in pain but didn't retaliate. She couldn't retaliate, or her father would make a bigger deal out of the situation.

"Let go of her." Lily stepped in; she was angry now. Along with her mother. They were fuming. It was insignificant for them to be insulted and disrespected, but trying to take Lia away was overstepping. "This is how you teach your children!? TO BE ANIMALS AND DISRESPECT THEIR ELDERS!?" He hysterically laughed.

"Yuna, call the cops." Ryujin ordered, completely afraid. Yuna nodded, dialing the number. "Yuna, honey, come with us and your mom. You shouldn't live with these pigs." Ms. Choi said in tears, and Yuna cringed at her.

"If she's a pig, then what are you?"

Everyone's eyes widened. Princess Yuna was saying that!? Lily burst out laughing along with Ryujin. Ms. Choi was as offended as possible. Actually, she started yelling and throwing things all around.
