Arcana is described as a beautiful young girl with silky white hair and golden eyes. Arcana initially has the demeanor of a composed and stoic divine figure, as carries expressionless face most of the time. While seemingly emotionless, she showed that she isn't a traditional god like Nosgalia, who only care about order and disregard mortals and their feelings. This is because having forgotten her divine name and memories, she gained a heart, which allowed her to feel emotions that gods shouldn't be capable of feeling. Due to gaining emotions, she wanted to save people but her ordeal with the grieving father damaged her self-esteem and made her question her worldview. According to Misha, looking into Arcana's abyss felt like she was suffering of a parched thirst. As though she were wandering through an endless desert with no water. The reason for that is that her guilt over the events made her try to find an answer to if it was possible to save everyone at once, with her progressively losing hope over the inability to come up with a proper answer. After losing the holy war against Anos, she was finally content due to him providing her an answer, as found a new resolve to atone for her sins by dismantling the Selection Trial, which was causing mortals more tragedy for the sake of the gods' convenience.
Arcana states that she forgot her memories and divine name, as she think that in exchange for losing them, she gained a heart, something that gods lack. Due to losing her memory and forgetting who she was, she was lost in her purpose, as she remembered wanting kindness, using her divine power to grant many miracles and save many lives. But one day, she was approached by a grieving father, whose daughter was chosen as a Selected, which she later regretted due to wanting to stay with him. His daughter was killed by another Selected, which caused him grief and rage, as he pleaded to her to allow him to get revenge by having Arcana kill him.
In order to quench his grief, she stated that she would resurrect his daughter, although that was impossible due to her source being destroyed. Instead, she created a fake daughter who had all of her memories and personality, as he was overjoyed at being reunited with her. However, Arcana was later contacted by the grieving daughter, who stated that her father had killed himself due to learning that his daughter was a fake, as he was told by the same person who killed his real daughter. Coming to terms with her failure to save the grieving father, she realized that she and the gods were not omnipotent, and were not capable of saving everyone, as salvation for one person meant damnation for another. She tried to find someone who could disprove her hypothesis about there being no Almighty being capable of saving others. Arcana became the Selection God of Ahid Alovo Agartz and began to participate in the Selection Trial on his behalf. She chose him because he was a hopeless person and bring him salvation, as she believed that his hopelessness made him worthy of salvation.
