CHAPTER FOUR
the devastating
realization of a
skeptical fraud

"Fossils are preserved remains of plants and animals whose bodies were buried in sediments. . ."

Goo was never a by the books person, he hated studying with a burning passion. He thought it was somewhat pointless to memorize the periodic table or earth sciences—he was a more practical type of person with no future in becoming a chemist or a world-renown scientist.

And yet, he studied more in the past few days than he ever did in his entire life combined.

"I should be able to differentiate them now." The blonde said to himself as he tapped his chin, walking over the piles of bodies he left limp on the cemented ground after a round of collecting.

"Are you studying for the GED?" Samuel smoked a joint in the open.

Samuel Seo was a secret friend of his who accompanied him in this one round of debt-collecting, having discussed plans beforehand.

"No." Goo shook his head. "I'm studying for the museum!" He grinned.

"What for?"

"A friend."

"Why do all that work for someone you're not even dating." Samuel thought it was pointless, anyone would. Text informations are usually plastered in front of the pieces, there's no point in having to study them all when there are already signs available for anyone to read.

"It is a date!" Goo interjected.

"Is it?" His tone was disbelieving.

"Of course!" The blonde was having none of it. "It's a date. What else would it be?" He sounds like he was also trying toconvince himself. "We're going to be looking at bones together, maybe hold hands, then before the day ends—I'm gonna deliver him a big fat smooch~" He's already getting excited just thinking about it.

Samuel shook his head, he swore he felt a shudder run right down his spine. "At this rate, you're going to be receiving papers after."

Goo chirped up hopefully, "Wedding papers?"

"A restraining order."

The blonde scowled at this, turning his head away as he reaches for his phone to check his notifications.

"You would't know anything, Sammy." Goo taunted without tearing his eyes off the screen. "You don't know what true love is."

The tatted male arched a brow at him, not the least bothered by his words. He was pretty much used to the blonde's antics.

"And you do?"

"Of course!" Goo exclaimed before a grin made its way over his lips upon clicking a notification. "Love is where you'll find me."
