Your POV
You slowly crawl out of bed and slip into the shower, the warm water hitting you like a breath of fresh air. You sigh and wash up, get out, and dry up. You tiredly put on your uniform and snap out of the sleepy trance you were in when a knock is heard at your door. 'Makoto...' you think excitedly and practically fall down the stairs, trying to open the door as quickly as possible. You open it to reveal Makoto standing there with a huge grin. "Morning, (y/n)! I hope I'm not too early." You shyly smile and shake your head. "Nope you are right on time." His ears turn pink and you both begin walking to Haru's. Once having arrived, both of you walk around back and say "excuse me..." before entering. You go into the kitchen and wait while Makoto fetches Haru out of the bathtub.
They both come out and Haru stares at you before asking "Does the water like you?" You look at him, confused and surprised. "U-umm... I-I don't really know. I-I mean I've been swimming and all but... not in a while." Makoto looks at you, flashing a signature heart-melting grin. "Don't worry, (y/n)! I'm sure you'll do great!" Haru pulls Makoto along with him so you go wait outside.
Makoto's POV
Haru pulls me into the hallway, making sure (y/n) is outside. "Makoto...you love her." I blush madly "Ehhhh?! N-no! I mean... I don't know, maybe." I smile just thinking about her but whenever I'm around her, I can never muster up enough courage to tell her how I feel. "Makoto, stop lying. I can see straight through you." I sigh and nod. "It's true. I really do love (y/n)." Haru smiles at me. "Then tell her, not me." I nod and walk out, Haru saying he's staying home today, leaving me and (y/n) all alone together. I take a breath and walk out, telling her that Haru isn't coming. It starts to rain so I run in and borrow one of Haru's umbrellas. (Y/n) looks confused. "Don't we need two umbrellas?" I blush and shake my head. "I-I thought we could share." She looks surprised then smiles and nods. I open it and I hold it up, her shoulder pressed against mine. I can't stop blushing.
We get to school and it seems done as soon as it started because of the rain. They let us out early because thunderstorms were headed our way. (y/n) and I walked home, but when she got to her door, right as I was about to leave. "Makoto, would you like to come in?" Thunder rumbles off in the distance and I tense up. "S-sure, as long as I won't bother you." She smiles and holds the door open. I walk in lucky for her invite.
