GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA
No.3 A New Car and a Crush

"Billie wake up." John said shoving my shoulder as i sat adjacent to him in the passenger seat."Billie!"

"i'm up damn." i groggily said sitting up while stretching. John pushed his car door open after popping the trunk to get my bags.

"how long am i staying again?" i yawned.

"like a month, you have to take pictures for fashion week, cover shoots, interviews possibly."

i nodded my head and grabbed my bags while he dragged my suitcase, fashion week was probably my favorite thing about having this job. all the beautiful models and intricate designs. i love it.

we stopped in front of this huge jet, it had 'May' across it in bold italics. i laughed at Dalias simple but cute design and got on the plane.

"look at you! doing big things kid!" John yelled from afar with a smile as i walked up the stairs of the private jet.

"couldn't have done it without you!" i yelled back.

John waved as the door began to close, separating us for the next two weeks. it did make me a bit sad that he couldn't come with me. but he's just my boss, my acquaintance. not an actual friend.

instead of worrying about Johns wellbeing, i decided to get comfortable and call an actual friend before we took off, that friend being Zoe.

after a 45 minute long and needed call with my best friend i hung up and was falling asleep shortly after. the cold air circulating around the plane, the light sound of rain and a random TV show filled my ears as drifted to sleep.

- 8 HOURS LATER -

with no one to wake me up i slowly did on my own, the bright light of the London sky shone through the plane windows directly on my face.

"alright miss...uh, what was your name again?" the pilot said as he came from the cockpit. I raised a brow, no way he just flew to all the way to the U.K. not knowing who he's flying.

"Billie O'Connell," i yawned before scratching my head and looking around for my belongings before heading off the plane.

"O'Connell! there it is. Ms.Mays wanted me to hand you this, it's the key to your rental car waiting outside." he tossed me the key and i examined it. A Porsche key.

"no fucking way..." i hit the button to drop the stairs and ran down them, nearly bumping into a man carrying my things just to get to the car.

there it was, a black Porsche 918. this girl doesn't even know me and she's already spoiling me rotten.

"you see whats funny is..." the man that was carrying my bags said as he popped the trunk, which was in the front. "Dalia's never done something like this before. Especially for some photographer."

"you must be special, Billie." he said patting my back before walking back towards the plane. i guess i am, somewhat.

i turned my head back to the car in front of me and happily unlocked it and got in the driver's seat. "holy fuck.." i whispered running my fingers across the dash.

a notecard was stuck on the steering wheel with pretty writing, i took it and read it. slowly a smile appeared on my face with a slight blush.

i hope you like the car! i thought it'd fit your personality well. Drive safe and wear your seat belt :)

See you soon, Hope you enjoy your stay!
- Dalia

* Dalia *

"do you think she will like it?" i said as i brushed my hair in the mirror. my manager, Kei sighed and stood behind me taking the brush.

"it's a Porsche, lia. of course she'll like it anyone would." Kei said with a light chuckle. i guess she's right.

when i saw Billie, i knew it in my heart that she had potential. she took amazing pictures and she was very stunning herself.

her creativity is beyond any other human being on this earth i swear. from her clothes to her hair she is just an art piece.

i don't want her to just take pictures of me, i want to get to know her on a personal level. i want to see where all those strange but interesting ideas come from.

she looks like she could use a friend anyway.

"look at her Kei she's beautiful," i said looking down at my phone of a picture of Billie when her hair had bright red roots. she was wearing glasses and a red and black stripped shirt with a tilt of her head.

"Dalia you sound gay. put this on quickly we got and interview at ten." She said throwing a satin cobalt blue maxi dress my way.

"i am gay!" i whined from my closet as i slipped the dress and a pair of heels to match. i grabbed a random white Givenchy purse and some silver diamond bracelets before walking out.

"i know, your so gay that you bought the girl a car," Kei laughed as she grabbed her own things and pushed the door open.

"you want me to book her the same room so you two can sleep with each other as well?" she snickered.

"Tais-toi!" i giggled although i definitely wanted that to happen. (shut up!)

As we entered the lobby of the building i was getting interviewed at, sharp heels clacked against the floor as the woman approached us.

"Dalia it's so nice to see you!" The woman said bringing me into a hug, she smelled like roses with a mix of champagne and cigarettes.

i reciprocated the greeting and followed her into her office where i was being interviewed.

"So the news is, you flew out an unknown photographer for your vogue shoot?" she states as she reads her notebook.

for the past hour i was pretending that i knew what she was saying. "i'm sorry?" i asked, snapping myself out of my trance.

"last night...you flew out a photographer?" she said with an expectant look.

"oh!, yes her name is Billie O'Connell." i smiled. "Her work is amazing, just mind blowing. i'm so glad i get to work with her this month."

"im excited to see those photos! now, do you have any close relations with her?" she said bouncing her eyebrows.

Kei glanced at me with a mug on her face as she sat in a chair out of frame, she never liked when interviewers ask me about my relationships. she believes it's far too personal.

but at the end of the day i am famous
and people will of course be nosy and want to know everything about me unfortunately.

"uh..no, i don't." i laughed nervously, wishing i did. they didn't need to know that though.
