Jessica was regaining consciousness after the accident that had occurred two weeks prior. She had been in a coma and was now slowly coming to her senses. Military doctors were checking her vitals as she stirred awake, feeling groggy but aware. "Where am I?" she asked, her voice weak but urgent.
"You're in a medical camp in San Antonio," the doctor replied gently. "You were in an accident and stranded alone. A military group picked you up and admitted you here. You've been in a coma for the last ten days. You started regaining your senses a few days back. Things outside are not great, and I won't allow you to go outside just yet. You need a rest."Jessica couldn't believe she had been unconscious for so long. Suddenly, thoughts of Rick came rushing back to her like a sharp knife. What had happened to him?
She watched the news, her heart pounding with every update about Earth's Salvation. She grasped the fact that she still had 24 hours to find Rick before Asteroid Risca made impact. Clinging to the hope that Rick was still out there, she gathered her strength and made a decision.
Her injuries were severe, but her love for Rick drove her forward. Every waking moment was consumed with thoughts of him, and every prayer was a plea for his safety.Ignoring the doctor's advice, Jessica jumped out of the camp bed and started searching for the highest military official she could find. The camp head, seeing the desperation and resolve in her eyes, understood the gravity of the situation. He nodded and immediately informed his subordinates to start looking for Rick. As he prepared for the asteroid impact ground control, he made sure that a dedicated team was assigned to help Jessica in her search.The world outside was on the brink of catastrophe, but for Jessica, finding Rick was the only mission that mattered.
