TW: Injury and blood
Marjorie hung up the phone as Autumn walked back in. "You alright, my love?" she asked her.
"Fine," Autumn replied, not really looking at her. She grabbed a glass of water on her desk but as soon as she picked it up, it dropped, the glass shattering and water splashing everywhere.
"Autumn!" Marjorie yelled, watching as blood started pouring from a particularly large shard scraping her arm.
"Dammit," she hissed, groaning when she saw the mess. Thankfully, there wasn't much water in the glass but the shards had gone everywhere. Watching in horror, Marjorie watched Autumn scoop up the shards from the floor with her bare hands before carelessly throwing them into the bin. Hundreds of small cuts littered her hands as she continued to clean the floor, deaf to Marjorie's horrified yells. Charlotte came running in, however, having heard the commotion from down the hallway.
"Marjorie, I heard your yells what happened?!" she exclaimed as she entered. Marjorie nodded at Autumn who was just brushing off the last few pieces in the bin. "Oh my god Autumn, you're bleeding!"
"It's nothing, just a bit of glass." Autumn reached for the first aid kit in the corner of the office and started cleaning the cuts with alcohol wipes. She didn't even flinch.
"Autumn, how are you not hurt? Glass is so painful!" Charlotte tried again. Autumn just shrugged, throwing the bloody wipes in the bin and wrapping a bandage around her arm.
"Father used to get creative with his punishments, glass doesn't really bother me anymore," Autumn replied, not really looking at them, thus missing their still horrified expressions. "Was there something you needed, Charlotte?"
"Umm no not really, I was just worried when I heard Marjorie's yelling."
"Ah yes, Marjorie I've been meaning to speak to you about your volume. Why must everything you say be so incessantly loud?" Autumn replied, retaking her seat.
A/N I'm so sorry, I don't know why this chapter exists, I feel like I'm just putting Aut through so much. I'll give her a break now, she deserves it. Next up is hopefully going to be some Wintumn fluff, we'll see. Also I'm coming back on the 10th so I can respond to comments and catch up on all of your wonderful stories (after I binge watch all of my missed TNN episodes ofc). Thanks for sticking around :)
