A Friends' Temptation

Take me back to the night we met

Once more, she is assigned to night duty on a Saturday night. Dr. Kelly is the slumbering muffin in a clinical coat on the table. She wakes up as the alarm goes off and gets ready to see if the patients need anything.
As Kelly strolls down the ward hallway, a young person trips over her. Kelly hears a voice phoning Paula as soon as she sees the infant. Kelly looks in the direction from which the voice is coming. The toddler calls out, "Mummy," as she runs towards them, a stunning woman.The mother expresses regret.
Kelly assures the mother that Paula is just too animated and that it's alright. Kelly keeps moving in the direction of the nurses' desk, where she retrieves the patient files. She begins visiting the sick. Kelly enters room A109 and sees Paula, who is delighted to see her. Kelly asks for Jack's mother, Miss Jena. Paula's mother stands up. Kelly asks Jena how Jack is doing. Jena thinks he's better, but she's concerned. Kelly whispers to Jena that everything will be alright ,Jack is a powerful boy.
While they are still talking, the nurse enters and informs Jack that it is time to alter his medication. Kelly recognizes that Jena requires her assistance, so she asks Jena if she may bring Paula with her so that Jena can manage Jack's problem. Jena believes it's fine as long as Paula doesn't cause problems. Kelly clutches Paula's hand as they walk to Jena's clinic room.
Kelly hands Paula some toys to play with. As they play, Paula informs Kelly that it is her mother's birthday and that she would want to make her a card, so she requests a pen and paper. Later, Paula doses off and falls asleep; Kelly moves her to A109; and Jena says thank you to Kelly.
After a few minutes, Kelly returns to A109 with a cupcake and wishes Jena a happy birthday. Jena is overwhelmed and wonders, "How did you know?" Kelly points to Paula, and they hug and say goodnight.
Before heading home in the morning, Kelly knocks on A109 to check on Jack and informs Jena that he is improving and will be discharged in the evening. Paula gives Kelly a hug and bids goodbye. Later that evening, Kelly discharges Jacks and gives Jena advice on how to care for him. Kelly instructs Jena to call her if anything occurs. Jena says thank you and departs.
