"Lord Stark," I greeted, Jacerys and I have been in the north for multiple days, speaking to the nobles and the people. I nodded to Cregan.
"Walk with me princess," He said, he beckoned me with a wave of his hand. I swiped my hand across my dragon's wing. He was a beautiful creature.
"The North is beautiful," I commented, looking between the soldiers and then watching a child run past me.
"The North is the one place everything comes back to, other than Dragonstone we are the largest fortress that stands with the crown. We are the protectors of the wall" He said, his voice was full of pride, but not arrogance. I smiled.
"The wall? Is it to keep out the white walkers?" I asked, shooting him a smirk. White walkers were creatures of legend, fables, myths. Hardly worth talking about.
"Yes princess" Cregan said, he turned and smiled.
"Urgent news from Dragonstone," Someone shouted, they ran up next to me and placed a letter in my hand. Urgent news? Was there a battle? My hands began to shake as I peeled back the wax seal. "Prince Jacaerys has already left on Dragonback,"
A small sob escaped my chest as I read. Luke was dead. The sweet, innocent boy was dead, the boy was dead. My hands clenched into fists, crumbling the paper and slicing the inside of my right hand open.
"Pōnta ossēntan lucerys" I shouted as I mounted Cannibal. The rage and grief I felt coursing through my body was indescribable, it ran through every part of my body. My hands shook as I grabbed onto the handles. My eyes blurred with tears and my lip quivered. "Bring me home, I must see my mother" I shouted.
Grief is a powerful thing Vealla, you must control it
"I do not want to control it" I yelled, my voice tore as my body was wracked with sobs in the saddle. "I want to burn those hightower usurping cunts to the ground"

I looked around the map chamber, no one was in there. I looked down at the map, at the lines Luke, Jace and I carved into it years ago. Anger was there, but it was pushed behind a wave of grief. I sobbed, gasping for air out of my mouth and feeling tears drip from my eyes and down my face. I stared at the lines, the looked like Lucerys's handwriting. They were sloppy, because he is a . . . he was a young boy.
"Fuck!" I screamed, I cleared the map table, shoving the pieces off the map, throwing letters and ripping everything off it. I leaned against the table and shrunk, I sat down and covered my face with my hands and sobbed.
"Vealla," mother shouted. I took my head and looked up at her. Her eyes were red and puffy, she had been crying too. She looked around the room, the mess I had created and then she looked down at me, "Oh my sweet girl" She sank to her knees beside me.
"They killed the boy," I said. My voice broke and my lip quivered as I looked at my mother. "They killed our boy" She pulled me into her and just rocked me back and forth as we sobbed together. "They will pay mother," I whispered after a while. "They will not kill innocents without justice"

I stood by my mother as yet another of my siblings was taken by beautiful dancing flames, but there was no body to burn. They tore him apart, Aemond tore him apart. I stepped up to the pier with a cloak, it was our fathers. I was supposed to give it to Luke on his fifteenth birthday. The flames burnt as I got closer, dancing across my vision, bringing tears to my eyes.

"Dracarys" I shouted, steering Cannibal to the right sharply. He opened his mouth and let out a torrent of flames, aiming to destroy trees upon trees. Cannibal was huge, hard to steer and command.
We are going home
I scoffed and tried turning him. The last thing I wanted to do was face my family, they were grieving but they refused to take action. My brother, Rheanyra's son has been killed and she's still bartering like a beggar for peace.
There will be no hope for peace. They have slaughtered a child.

"My Queen" I nodded, I took my riding gloves off and bowed my head.
"Where have you been?" Mother shouted. She wiped her face with her hands and looked at me. "You left on dragonback five days ago, right after your brother's funeral?"
"Yes mother," I replied. I deserved her anger, but I cannot, I will not apologize for my actions.
"Do you have any idea how worried I have been?" She asked, her eyes were red and puffy and her clothes were disheveled. "I cannot continue sitting here and wondering where you are,"
"You cannot continue sitting here?" I responded. "All we have done is sit here! They murdered Luke, they murdered Visenya, They murdered Harwin. And still," I paused. "We sit here, like fucking hens waiting to be slaughtered."
"I have not forgotten what they have done," Mother began.
"But you barter for peace, after everything they've done. Do you still love Alicent?" I snapped. "Is that it? Do you still love the woman that ripped your right out from under you and gave it to her cunt of a son?"
"Get out," Mother shouted.
I slammed the door behind me and walked to my room, anger coursed through my veins as I thought of our position. Jacerys grabbed my wrist as I tried to walk past him.
"Beala and I heard you and mother shouting at each other"
"Hard not too" I replied, prying my wrist from his grip. I do not want to be touched by anyone.
"You are right, you know," He said. He gave me a small smile.

"You are a brave warrior Vealla," Harwin said, he disarmed me easily, the sword flew from my hands and clattered uselessly on the ground. He bent to grab it for me.
"Thank you Sir Harwin '' I smiled, I knew he was my father, I knew but the praise from him, a member of the kingsguard would've been enough.
"Your mother would be proud of you," He said. I chuckled and shook my head.
"My mother does not want me near these swords, let alone holding one" I smiled, turning the sword over in my hands. The callouses and sores that peppered my palms were red and hard, it seemed they were healing.
Now I didn't have sores, I thought, looking at my hands, they were so used to holding a sword they no longer protested.
