"I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!" Lola abruptly entered the front door of Juliet's house. Their whole friend group was meant to be over soon, so Juliet was currently cleaning her kitchen.

"Oh my goodness. What? What happened," Mia said from her spot at a barstool.

"Guess who I saw at target right before I came here?"

"Who?" Juliet asked as she continued to wipe the counters.

The blonde girl dramatically walked into the room and plopped herself on the stool next to Mia putting her head in her hands. "I think i'm gonna go crazy in all honesty."

"Just spit it out already!" Juliet sighed.

"I just saw Brandon totally making out with some random girl!" Lola stood up as she flailed her arms around. "I mean the audacity! He's been totally begging for your attention and then he does this."

"That's unbelievable. I mean he literally texted all of our friends asking them to tell you to text him back." Mia rolled her eyes.

"Actually? That's insane." Juliet threw her towel down. "You know, he even had the courage to text both Brady and Connor."

"You never told us this!" Mia said, now also standing up.

"It was only the other day. But yeah it happened." Juliet sighed. "He texted Connor and kept asking him to tell me to text him."

Juliet then dramatically explained, "Then he texted Brady and was all like 'Look bud you need to back up. She's my girl, not yours. Get in your own lane because she doesn't want you.' Which is crazy talk! I literally chose Brady over him!"

Lola and Mia glanced at each other.

"Wait, so he actually said that?" Lola pushed.

"Yeah, it was so weird."

"Hold on. You chose Brady over him? I thought Brady was just a friend?" Mia questioned.

Juliet went quiet. As she tried to form a sentence, Mia cut her off, "So you admit you do like Brady?"

"I never said that!"

"You basically just did." Lola raised her eyebrow.

Juliet didn't know what to think. The thought that she might like Brady has crossed her mind way too many times. She never wanted to think too hard on it because it could totally ruin their friendship. Because there's no world where Brady Noon likes her back.

"Look, I'm not entirely sure if I do or not. He would never like me."

"You don't know that." Mia frowned.

"I mean I guess I do but..." Juliet was cut off with two squeals.

"YAY! YAY! YAY!" Lola squealed as she ran to hug Juliet. "You have no idea how long we've been waiting for you to admit it!"

"I can finally play matchmaker!" Mia said as she clapped her hands.

"Okay okay! But I need your guys' help cleaning before everyone comes." Juliet said with a playful roll of her eyes.
