Heeseung reached for her hand, his touch warm and reassuring. "We'll figure it out, Grace. We have each other, and we have our friends. Together, we're stronger."

Grace leaned into him, her head resting against his shoulder. "I now, but..."

Their moment was interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching. Jake emerged from the shadows, his expression unreadable. Heeseung tensed slightly, a flicker of suspicion crossing his features.

"Jake," Heeseung greeted cautiously. "What brings you here?"

Jake hesitated, his eyes darting between Heeseung and Grace. "I... I need to talk to you both."

"What is it, Jake?" Grace asked, her voice tinged with concern.

Jake took a deep breath, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. "I've... I've been keeping something from you."

Heeseung's brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"

Jake met their eyes, his own filled with guilt and remorse. "I.. I've been working with someone else. Someone who has vested interest with The Guardians and the power they seek."

Grace eyes widened in disbelief. "Jake, why didn't you tell us sooner?"

Jake looked away, shame coloring his features. "I didn't know who to trust. And.. and I thought I could handle it on my own."

Heeseung's jaw tightened, emotions swirling within him – anger, betrayal, but also a pang of sympathy for his friend. "Who are you working with, Jake?"
