The revelation about Jake and Jay left the group walking on eggshells. They had to pretend they knew nothing while meticulously planning their next steps. Trust had been shattered, but their determination was stronger than ever.

In the days that followed, Jake subtly provided information to Heeseung and Grace, careful not to raise suspicion. Meanwhile, they kept a close eye on Jay, noting his movements and interactions, trying to piece together his role in The Keepers.

One evening, the group gathered in a secluded corner of the library, away from prying eyes and ears. Heeseung spread out a new map Jake had discreetly slipped to him.

"This map highlights key locations," Heeseung explained. "Jake says these are places where The Keepers conduct their most important activities. If we can stake them out, we might learn more about their plans."

Sunoo nodded vigorously. "We need to be smart about this. We can't all go to the same place. We should split up and cover more ground."

Jungwon agreed. "Grace and Heeseung, you two should take the observatory. It's a less obvious choice, and you might find something others might overlook. Sunoo and I will take the old science building. Ni-ki and Sunghoon, you take the library archives."

As they divided the tasks, Grace couldn't help but feel a surge of adrenaline. They observatory was a place she had always found fascinating, and now it held the promise of uncovering critical secrets.

That night, Grace and Heeseung made their way to the observatory. The air was crisp, the stars twinkling above as they ascended the narrow staircase. The observatory was dark and silent, and eerie stillness settling over the space.

Heeseung's large eyes scanned the room, and he whispered, "We need to find anything that looks out of place. Jake mentioned something about hidden compartments."

Grace, her brown curls brushing against her cheeks as she nodded, replied, "Let's start with the telescope. Sometimes these older models have hidden mechanisms."

As they carefully inspected the equipment, their search was interrupted by the sound of footsteps echoing up the stairs. Heeseung and Grace exchanged a tense glance, their hearts racing. They ducked behind a large storage cabinet, peering out cautiously.

A figure appeared in the doorway, silhouetted against the faint light from the corridor. It was Jay. He moved with purpose, heading straight for the main control paned of the observatory.

Heeseung's grip tightened on Grace's hand, signaling her to stay quiet. They watched as Jay activated a hidden switch, revealing a concealed compartment beneath the floor. He pulled out a small, intricately designed box, examining it carefully.

Grace's breath caught in her throat. What could be in that box? She glanced at Heeseung, whose expression mirrored her own mix of curiosity and fear.

Jay suddenly froze, as if sensing their presence. He looked around the room, his eyes narrowing. Grace and Heeseung held their breath, hoping the shadows would keep them hidden.

After a tense moment, Jay closed the compartment and left the room, the box securely in his grasp. They waited until his footsteps faded completely before emerging from their hiding spot.

"Did you see that?" Grace whispers, her voice trembling with excitement and fear. "What do you think was in that box?"

Heeseung shook his head. "I don't know, but it's something important. We need to find out more. We need to tell the others."

They quickly made their way back to the library, where the rest of the group was waiting. Sunoo and Jungwon reported that the old science building had yielded nothing but dusty equipment, while Ni-ki and Sunghoon had found only old books in the library archives.

Heeseung relayed what they had seen, the group listening intently. "Jay found a hidden compartment in the observatory and took a box from it. We need to find out what's inside."

Sunghoon suggested, "Maybe we can get Jake to help us. If he can find out what's in that box, it might give us the upper hand."

Jungwon nodded. "But we have to be careful. If Jay suspects anything, it could ruin everything."

Grace looked around at her friends, their faces etched with determination. "We're getting closer. We just need to stay focused and trust each other."

The group agreed to meet again the next night, each of them acutely aware of the danger they were facing. As Grace and Heeseung walked back to their dorms, the weight of their mission hung heavy in the air.

"Heeseung," Grace said softly, her voice breaking the silence, "thank you for being with me through all this. I don't know if I could do it without you."

Heeseung smiled, his eyes warm despite the tension. "We're in this together, Grace. We'll find the truth, no matter what it takes."

With Heeseung and the others by her side, Grace knew they could face whatever came next.
