I don't have a single ounce to wake up right now. We're in the middle of a pandemic why bothering conducting a class.
"Ash ba't hindi ka pa naka prepare, first day of school mo ngayon... you're already a senior highschool student", ganito rin ang lintaya ni mama when I was in grade 10, she keeps reminding me that time na I was a graduating student.
"Ma, online class lang kami ngayon"
"Kahit na Ashley, bumangon ka na dyan. I already prepared your breakfast and I have to go.", I kissed mom on her cheeks and bid her goodbye. She's working as an office clerk and hectic talaga trabaho nya but she always makes time to take care of us.
After that bumangon na ako at pumunta sa kitchen. Nasa baba pa ang kusina namin. Isa itong 2 storey house na may overseeing na balcony. Hindi kami mayaman, my parents worked hard to attain a life like this. My dad owns a farm, may mga alaga kaming manok, baboy, itik at kambing. Meron din kaming maliit na taniman ng mais.
The view from our balcony was my dad's farm. Binibenta namin ang mga alaga namin and that's how papa gets his income, eventually nakapagpatayo sila ng bahay and naka bili ng sasakyan. I'm the middle one in the family so somehow nakita ko rin ang progress nga buhay namin from befo–
"Wahhh...what the f– Alistair", I exclaimed in seconds.
"Ate ba't ka ba nakatulala? You know you have classes to attend", now he's reminding me of that.
Hala, Oo nga muntik ko na makalimutan.
"Eh ikaw? What are you doing here, may online class ka rin naman ah?"
He smirked at me, "naka on na laptop ko, I'm already in class ini-off ko lang ang cam", I knew it di talaga magiging seryoso ang online class na to.
That's Alistair, my younger brother. I'm only 2 yrs older than him. I also have an older brother and another younger brother. I have kuya Arthur whose currently a 3rd yr college student and Anthony whose still in elementary. I'm the only girl samin magkakapatid.
I should've more time to enjoy the breakfast prepared by mom. Kung di lang dahil sa online class na yan eh.
Kukuha na sana ako ng tubig nang may naglapag ng baso sa harapan ko. It was kuya Arthur.
"I already opened the pc, you can use that muna", I looked up to him with glimmer in my eyes.
"Thank you kuyaaa, I loveee youuu na talaga", tumayo na ako at niyakap sya.
"Go on, ako na muna bahala sa hugasin", he assured.
"But how about your classes kuya", I was kinda worried since college na pa naman si kuya.
"Don't worry, 10 am pa start ng classes ko, you can use that muna open ko nalang laptop mo later.", Kuya was pilling my used plates.
"Okay kuya, gotta go", I walked too fast around the stairs. Buti di ako natisod.
I hurriedly went to my brother's room. Ni log-in ko dun ang account na binigay ng school para gamitin during online classes.
I was already late and they are already introducing themselves.
"Melendez", this was called out by our instructor.
I quickly turned on the mic. "Present po ma'am"
"Now please introduce yourself, your hobbies and your motto in life also, kindly turn on your camera para makita ka ng classmates mo", I nervously turn on the cam. Wala pa akong liptint fortunately hindi naman ganun ka gulo ang buhok ko after waking up. I cleared my throat para naman di ako mapiyok in the middle of introduction.
"Hello, Good morning everyone I'm Ashley Melendez, 17 yrs old and my hobbies are....", I can't name one, what are my hobbies?
"I-I do like writing ma'am, I also read books and I enjoy watching korean drama", I need a deep breath.
"oh interesting, my isang kdrama fan pa pala tayo dito.", I smiled in that thought, I guess I'm not the only one.
"So what is your motto in life", Okay I didn't quite get that. I need to think.
"po?", pardon ma'am? wala akong maisip na motto.
"your motto in life?", hala choppy
"ma'am putol putol po kayo kaya di ko po masyado sure ano po sinabi nyo, pwede paki ulit po?", I'm making more time for myself, what if time is gold nalang kaya?
"What is your motto in your life Ms. Melendez?", inulit nga.
"I believe in time is gold po ma'am, time is as valuable as gold. They are irreplaceable. That's why I value time like a gold, that's all thank you", now where did that thoughts came from. They pop out of nowhere.
"Thank you ms. Melendez, Next we have Leonardo Rivera"
Mr. Rivera please introduce yourself, your hobbies and your motto in life.
"Good day everyone, I'm Leonardo Rivera Jr., Leon for short, I like to sing and I believe that the only permanent thing in this world in change"
He kinda looks attractive. Marami na nag on ng kanilang cam and they've been cheering sample.
"singer pala ito si Mr. Rivera, sample nga", added by our instructor.
Kumuha ito ng gitara sa kanyang gilid. I guess he really has the talent.

He has that soothing voice that makes people drawn to him. Imagine the forces of magnets, he has that power to attract people with his voice and I can't deny that make him attractive to me. Did I say his attractive?
He looks like he's serenading someone, I wonder if he's in a relationship. I small smile creeped from my lips. Kinikilig ako for some reason.

Nagsitawanan ang lahat nang marinig yun. I even burst out a laugh. I guess she had the bravery that I don't.
"I'm single po, I didn't close the doors for dating naman"
