A Starlight Warning

At the Snakerocks...

After the cats got to work, Firestar went to his den and had a heart-to-heart with StarClan.

After that, Firestar sent out the hunting patrol he chose Dustpelt to lead one hunting patrol.

Dustpelt announced, "I'm taking Squirrelpaw, Spiderpaw, Cloudtail, Thornclaw and Brambleclaw".

All the hunting patrol cats came out of their dens straight away and they went off.

 Dustpelt said,"We are hunting at the Snakerocks today."

"But there are so many adders there,"Spiderpaw complained whinily.

Squirrelpaw rolled her eyes, "We all know that, now stop complaining and start walking!"

Back at ThunderClan's camp, all the cats were sleeping except Firestar and Cinderpelt.

The hunting patrol were already at Snakerocks.

Brambleclaw gasped, "There is a fat rabbit there."

He nosed at the trees roots.

"Stay quiet." He whispered, prowling silently towards it, flattening his rump.

Suddenly Spiderpaw shouted, "Watch out! Adder!"

They all quickly jumped away from the path as the adder slithered away.

Thornclaw groaned, "Come on, that was the biggest and juiciest rabbit I have ever seen!"

Cloudtail said,"It's alright cause I caught two."

All of them except Cloudtail said, "What? Oh wow! That'll feed the clan so well!"

Just then the WindClan patrol attacked!

Brambleclaw shouted, "The WindClan patrol is attacking! Go get a patrol to attack and another patrol to look out for the camp."

Brambleclaw said, "Spiderpaw, go and alert the clan, now!"

Dustpelt ordered, "Squirrelpaw, Cloudtail, Thornclaw and Brambleclaw, ATTACK!!!".

Thornclaw fought with a big WindClan cat. They stared at each other fiercely, and without warning Thornclaw pounced and bit on the hind leg of the big WindClan warrior, who yelped and scampered away.

While Dustpelt fought with a WindClan apprentice cat. The WindClan apprentice cat bit deep into Dustpelt's shoulder and he screeched for help in pain! The other ThunderClan patrol came right away and helped him.

Brambleclaw attacked the WindClan deputy; he got scratched on the ear and the WindClan deputy's muzzle got scarred badly. Then a big brown tom tackled Squirrelpaw- fur flew. But Squirrelpaw raked the belly of the cat and he ran away.

Cloudtail was praying to StarClan, when suddenly he was attacked from behind and got into a wrestle with a WindClan warrior. Then Cloudtail tried to bite at the WindClan warrior's neck but the WindClan warrior expected this move from Cloudtail. So, he defended himself by scratching Cloudtail's pelt. Luckily, Squirrelpaw came to his rescue and bit the WindClan warrior's tail. They kept on fighting until the WindClan deputy screeched for them to stop. 

The WindClan deputy sneered and said, "You have won this battle but next time, beware!"

Thornclaw replied angrily, "Well then, you better not cross the borders again!"

Just then, Squirrelpaw shouted, "If you dare, I will rip all your pelts off!"

Brambleclaw said to the WindClan deputy, "If you attack me again, I'll have more warriors with me. Watch out."

The WindClan warriors glared at them and grudgingly trudged off, supporting their wounded.

Just when they thought they had peace, Spiderpaw cried urgently, "Oh-no! Dustpelt is injured badly!"
