Chapter 1

To those who doubt evil, you are the sin. I've walked through years and years of infuriating teachers and insolent spoiled teens who have nothing to share with their life except for one of two things, wealth and humiliation. Inside Skyline Academy walls lives shadows of fractured, or vengeful and unjustified souls that have walked these dim corridors, and I've become one of them.

"Stop defying me with your expressions, Elia." My father spits out quietly, his teeth gritting as he speaks while his forest green eyes bore at me with fury and disappointment. typical. "You need to be disciplined for that treacherous mouth of yours, me and your mother won't stand for it." I ignore the small spiel of words my father rambles out as my own eyes flicker over the almost eerie designs of the corridors, mounts of different animal carcases put up on the walls as if to honor them while there was not a single person in sight.

Me and My father soon stood in front of the deep brown, wooden double doors of the headmasters quarters with a golden mount of a ravens full body as my father turned to face me with that stern fatherly gaze he always had "Elia, When you speak to this man, I don't want any foolery from you. Don't speak of any of those dreams you've been having and don't speak anything of yourself except for the academy." My father stated as I turned my head to face him and just nodded.

I entered into the two doors with indifference. The headmaster looked at me with a sharp gaze that was filled with amusement and intrigue, "Come, sit." He gestured as I glanced down to the dark crimson and black padded recliner in front of his desk before slowly making my way towards it and seating myself down. "Your files were quite interesting, Elia. A delinquent filled within a school of demon hunters.." I scoffed upon his words, Lylal was not the place for me as the reality of the school was nothing but a pathetic joke and display of faulty ruthlessness.

"I've seen greater displays of talent." I remarked as I gently grabbed the hot herbal tea the servant handed to me while the headmaster raised his brow at my words. "Well, this place helps the lost angels find their way back to the light rather than falter deeper into the depths of darkness and hell." The headmaster states calmly as I let out a low chuckle and shook my head ever-so-slightly at his words.

"I think my father's gold is within your better interests.." I replied as he pushed the contract over to my side of his desk, not retorting back to my statement as we both knew how true it was and I put my tea down and signed the papers without any other thought in mind.

"Well, welcome to Skyline Academy, Elia. Talia will have your schedule printed out and here is your dorm key, make yourself at home.." headmaster Tyrion said as I ignored all of his welcoming and appreciative bullshit and just grabbed the key and walked out of his quarters, my father was no longer in sight anymore.
