7 - Formal communication

Vinn's eyes widen. he was not expecting that.

"I made.. Skylar cry."

Tyler's grip loosens a bit as he looks at Vinn coldly "Yeah dimwit, he was all sad because of you." He slowly lets go of Vinn, who stays sat on the floor, processing Tyler's words.

"You don't seem to care about him if you can ignore him for several weeks." Tyler speaks up. Vinn glares at him as he says angrily "Don't tell me how to take care of my own friend, Tyler. He has been doing the same ever since he became friends with you" 

Tyler scoffs. "Blaming me now? Don't go playing the victim card here, Vincent. We both know who's at fault here." Vinn stands up and snaps at him. "you think you're so perfect just because you get higher grades and the favors of most teachers."

"Don't stop though, maybe one day you'll study how to finally be a better person."

Tyler's anger fuels as he heard the last sentence. He grabs Vinn by the collar tightly.

"Tyler?! what the hell are you doing?!" A familiar voice shouts, looking at the two in shock. "Ah! Norman!" He says happily, a large contrast to what he was about to do. Norman looks at Tyler then at Vinn with a questioning look.

Tyler continues to smiles as he walks over to Norman, who takes a small step back. "Why don't we go and walk home together?" Tyler says in the same happy tone. Norman nods cautiously before Tyler puts an arm around Norman before making their way out of the alleyway. Vinn stands up and groans.

"Tsk."

Norman walks along with Tyler. "What the hell was that..?" he thought to himself.

"I'm home" Skylar says as he opens his front door. Removing his shoes, he welcomes himself in his house.

Walking up to his room, his phone buzzes. "hello?" he says politely.

"Heya Sky.." The voice emerges from the phone.

"hello, Vinn." Sky says softly.

"How have you been? Sorry we haven't talked in a while, I was.. busy" that was a terrible lie. Vinn thinks to himself.

"it's okay" Skylar said. "All that matters is that you still thought about contacting me." He adds. "really?" Vinn says as his eyes widen. "you're not mad?"

"no.. Just a little sad" Sky responded. Vinn's expression softens. Just sad. He was still the Skylar he knew. Still, those words made his heart ache. He was the one who made him cry. He was the one who made Skylar feels this way. Vinn takes a deep breath before saying "do you.. wanna walk home from school tomorrow together?" he says hesitantly.

"S-sure..! I would love to." Skylar said.

"Great thanks.." Vinn says before the call ended. He sighs with a small smiles.

After class the next day, Tyler approaches Skylar, who was tidying up his things "Hey Sky, are you going to walk with Norman again?" Tyler said with a smile. "oh no Tyler, i'm walking home with Vinn today.." Skylar responds shyly. Tyler was taken a back for a moment before putting up the same smile. "ah sure. Walk safe, Sky." He says as he waves at Skylar, who smiles at him and nods before exiting the classroom.

"damn it, Vincent" Tyler whispers irritatingly to himself. 

"Tyler? should we go now?" a boy wearing all black says. "sure, let's go Markus." Tyler says as he nods.
