It hasn't been very long since the invasion of the Equestrian capital of Canterlot, and the capture of three out of the four alicorn princesses needed to power the Staff of Sacanas. The Princess of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle, along with six of her friends managed to escape capture and were on a quest to save their home.
Tempest, along with her three associates: Grubber, C-3PO, and R2-D2. They were now in the process of tracking down the princess. Thanks to a set of directions said by one of the princesses, the unicorn mare knew exactly where her target was heading. Her skiff was only minutes away from their destination.
"Prepare for arrival, we're almost there." Tempest commanded all aboard her ship. They of course did as they were told.
Grubber's stomach suddenly started to rumble. "Oh man, I really need a snack when we get there." Tempest rolled her eyes at the short hedgehog and instead focused her attention on the only two droids present. C-3PO walked up to his astromech friend, hoping he would notice him.
"Commander Tempest says we're close to our destination." The protocol droid told R2-D2. Usually the astromech would say a reply, but for unknown reasons he didn't. He also didn't bother to turn his dome.
"R2, did you not hear me?" C-3PO repeated himself, again, there is no answer. R2-D2 wasn't deactivated, he was moving his head a bit, it was there C-3PO realized his friend was ignoring him.
"R2-D2, I know you can hear me! I don't know what has gotten into you, but it needs to stop!"
C-3PO banged his hand on R2's head, the astromech turned his head to his friend.
<"Ow! Hey! What was that for?!"> He asked through his beeps, very exasperated.
"That was for ignoring me when I told you something important! It is very impolite to not respond to someone when they are talking to you!"
Hearing the altercation between the two droids, Tempest decided to eavesdrop on them. Curious about what both droids would say, and in hopes of confirming her suspicions about the astromech.
<"That wasn't necessary!"> R2-D2 responded to C-3PO.
"Well, maybe you should have listened to me! R2, is there something bothering you?"
<"Yes, something is bothering me, The Storm King! I keep warning you about him but you keep ignoring me!">
"R2-D2, we will not have this conversation again, especially at a time like this! Can't you just ignore it for now?"
<"No, I can't just ignore it! I'm trying to help us and you don't trust me!">
"I do trust you, but I refuse to believe that what you're saying is true. And even if-"
C-3PO stopped himself, if the conversation continued for any longer, then one of them would say something that they would regret saying. "We should really stop talking, for there's a mission to be done."
R2-D2 beeped with agreement. The skiff suddenly parked at a long wooden dock, as it finally reached its destination. Tempest and her storm guards, Grubber, and the droids began to exit the airship. Tempest took a moment to look at the many buildings ahead of her and her team, she sighed and shook her head.
"I wish I never had to come back to this place." Tempest thought to herself.
The unicorn mare decided to change the subject and turned to her team, her eyes mainly focusing on the two droids, she cleared her throat and began to speak. "Alright, before we proceed, I need to tell you two droids something extremely important. So listen up."
