Finale (Chapter 5)

As the Mane 5 thought all hope was lost, denied help from the Queen of the Seaponies/Hippogriffs and the capture of Princess Twilight Sparkle. New friends they made along their harsh journey came to their aid.

Capper the con artist, Captain Celaeno and her pirate crew, Princess Skystar of the hippogriffs, and the "R-Series astromech droid" R2-D2.

With unexpected help from Queen Novo, the band of heroes with their hippogriff army, they take the fight to the Storm King to liberate Canterlot and end his reign once and for all...

For some time now, the team have been traveling in Queen Novo's skiff accompanied by the army of hippogriffs heading for Canterlot. The tiring journey and hardships the ponies faced had finally come to an end.

"How are things looking Celaeno?" Capper asks the parrot captain.

Celaeno stood at the bow of the skiff and was one of the pirates who kept lookout.

"Things seem to be...foggy. We are proceeding with caution." Celaeno was not kidding, with the fog it made it hard to see anything.

"Ah just can't believe it, our journey actually paid off." Applejack relieves.

"I feel the same way as you do, darling." Rarity agreed.

"Yay." Simply cheers Fluttershy.

The only astromech droid in the group, R2-D2, also felt great that they were about to launch one of the greatest sieges in the land's history. But he wasn't completely happy as a thought lingered on his mind: His friend C-3PO.

Unlike R2-D2, C-3PO was very much still with the Storm King. He was concerned with his friend's emotional state. C-3PO thought R2-D2 was destroyed on Celaeno's ship, he must have been having his thoughts of regret and despair. R2-D2 thought as he gazed into the fog of nothingness.

The little droid turned out to be right, that was on C-3PO's mind. While he was always aware of the Storm King's intentions, Threepio didn't know how twisted the beastly king really was. For the sake of their well-being, C-3PO would ignore his counterpart's warnings. Though he failed to know sooner. After seeing the state of Canterlot, he felt even more guilty.

The storm guards opened the throne room doors, allowing Tempest and the ponies pulling Twilight's cage inside. The princess gazed in horror at the petrified princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadence. Their faces frozen with fear. Twilight's cage was placed on the floor, the two enslaved ponies and the storm guards left the throne room, one of them glanced at Twilight sadly before Gubber closed the doors and sniggered.

Tempest slowly approached the incage princess, Twilight, still believing there was hope Tempest could change, tried to reason.

"Tempest, don't do this. Don't give the Storm King-"

"Your magic?" Tempest cut Twilight off. "Did you think you'd keep it all to yourself? Time to share." The unicorn commander turned around and continued, "I'd love for everybody out there to know what I can really do."

"Ooh, fascinating!"

Both Tempest and Twilight heard a voice behind them, they saw a silhouette of someone standing at the entrance to the balcony. The figure standing there was none other than His Excellency, the Storm King. He stepped into the throne with the Staff of Sacanas in his right claw.

"What can you really do?"

"Your bidding, of course! Your mighty one!" Grubber answered, kneeling before the Storm King...before running out the door. Tempest rolled her eyes.
