"Welcome campers! Or should I say, welcome back! I'm very proud to announce that you are all invited to join the new season of Total Drama, starting next month, on the 1st of February! I know that some of you (I'm specifically referring to Courtney) are now complaining and do not want to take part in this adventure, but unfortunately you have no choice! Either you guys come or the staff (so Chef) will find you and take you here, and believe me when I say that you won't like this option. Anyways, I hope you have a good rest of your day, I miss you all, see you soon!"

This was the video-message that Alejandro, Beth, Bridgette, Courtney, DJ, Duncan, Geoff, Gwen, Harold, Heather, Leshawna, Lindsay, Owen and Trent received on the 23rd of January 2022, at 11:30 pm.

From who? The one and only, obviously, Chris Mclean, that somehow managed to escape prison with his co-workers and was free and ready to come back.

Why, you may ask? Because Chris wanted to get his revenge.

How? You can't even imagine.

This can't be true. Eight years has passed since I last showed in a Total Drama season. I promised myself I wasn't going to do this again, but now what can be done? I don't want Chef to break into my house or studio or wherever I am to take me away with him, but at the same time it is absolutely horrible that I must agree to this.
I sighted and accepted my fate. I was ready to go to bed, that video arrived thirty minutes ago and I spent too much time hoping it was a joke. It wasn't though.
I was almost in my bedroom when I heard my phone ringing.
"Bridgette❤️‍🩹" was written all over my phone screen. I smiled, even if that night didn't go well I was happy to talk to her.

"C-Court, did you receive that too?" as soon as I heard her voice I could tell she was panicking.

"God Bri are you okay? By the way yes, I did..." I said trying to discover what was happening to her.

"No, I'm not okay, Courtney this is a disaster. Geoff received it too. I am so scared, I can't calm down" she said in a shaky voice. I knew that Geoff already tried to calm her, but it probably didn't work.

"I can't go back to the island, if that is where we will have to go, do you remember our promise? Never again trusting Chris Mclean, and now look what we are into"

Those were the words we pronounced after years of suffering: we met up right one month after the end of All Stars, so after Chris got arrested, and we swore we weren't going to partecipate ever again.

"Bridgette, listen to me, you need to calm down, okay? I am coming over right now, we will talk about it"

I hung up and I got dressed really quickly: I wore a simple pair of baggy jeans and a green top over it and since it was very late at night and freezing outside, I put on a black hoodie and hopped in my car.

After thirty minutes of driving, I was in front of Bridgette and Geoff's house and surprisingly, I saw two other cars that didn't belong to the owners of the building.
I ringed the bell and couldn't believe my eyes: a tall, masculine and attractive figure was in front of me, with black hair tied in a little ponytail and those blue eyes I could never forget. Duncan Nelson was the person opening the door. I standed there for a few seconds before snapping back into reality.

Seems like Chris Fucking Mclean can't get enough of this crazy game of his. After watching the video, I moved to the balcony and lit up a cigarette, trying to think about anything else but the message. I thought this day couldn't get worse: it was terrible at work, almost got fired for some shit I didn't do, and now this?
I finished smoking and wanted to sleep, I couldn't wait for today to end, but just right before heading to bed a question popped in my mind.

I can't be the only one who received it, right?

First of all, Chris said "campers", so plural, then I knew that I wasn't the only person that he could have contacted for this.
So, I immediately called Geoff, because even if he and Bridgette were kind of "weird" from the second season and on, they lasted almost till the end in the island, so them being invited made absolutely sense.
And I was right. He told me that he got it too and told me to go to his house.

I got there quickly and Geoff welcomed me. We moved to the living room and the boy told me that he also called DJ, so we waited for him. But Bridgette didn't say that another person was coming.

After chatting a bit with them, the doorbell ringed and since Geoff and DJ were in the kitchen and Bridgette was pretty shocked by the entire situation, I got up and opened the door. I couldn't help it but smile as soon as I saw her: short, beautiful and perfectly done brown hair and the same look that she had eight years ago in her eyes when I last saw her. Courtney Barlow was really in front of me, I wasn't dreaming.

"you didn't change at all, huh?" he said. His eyes were roaming my body to eventually focus on my face.

"I see we have a lot to catch up" I answered and walked in. I didn't want to talk to him, I still remember how he treated me in World Tour.

Bridgette immediately run to me and hugged me, then we moved to the sofa in the living room.

There were only five of the people (because apparently there were more) who received the message: me, Ducan, Bridgette, Geoff and DJ. Geoff called him to do the same thing Bridgette did to me earlier. I could see the fear in his eyes, how can you blaim him though? I was scared too and unexpectedly, Duncan as well.

We sat on the couch and started discussing.

"So.. do you guys know how many people got the same video?" I asked to start the conversation. We all knew we were there to talk about that.

"Yeah, I got a call from Trent saying him and Gwen were terrified" DJ replied seriously. Two more.

"I also got a text from Leshawna asking me what was going on" Bridgette said with the same shaky voice. One more.

"Harold actually dmed me to talk about this too" Duncan said this, and I was shocked that he had Harold's number. A lot of things has changed in these years. Another one.

We were nine on the list.

"I invited them all here, I think that we will need more space" we laughed at that, even if we were scared to death, Geoff still made us smile.

About twenty minutes passed and we were fourteen sat around the kitchen table. Geoff was right, the space wasn't enough in the end, so we had to move to another room.
We discovered that also Heather, Beth, Owen, Alejandro and Lindsay were in this sick tag game and I couldn't really tell who was more panicking between us, we weren't even a little bit tired.

"Guys" Heather started "we need to solve this thing now. None of us want to go back to camp Wawanaqua, to that orrible film set or whatever Chriss' scenarios were" I silently listened to her words while looking around. I saw Alejandro watching her and I could tell he still had feelings for that girl.

"Heather is right and first of all we need to stay calm. Keep in mind that we are not stupid adolescents anymore, we know how to defend ourselves and we cannot be scared by a psycotic host with some behaviour diseases. I am not going to lie, I really hoped it was a joke, but when I thought about it better, I couldn't unsee the truth in Chriss' words. Anyways, if we don't make a plan, it will be the end of us, because in my opinion, Chris will have more that some crazy challenges for us this time" Leshawna easily said what all of us were thinking, because nods of approval (or fear) came from everyone in the kitchen.

If we wanted to stay safe, we had to move. As soon as possible.

Our guys exactly know where they are going into and they sure understood who they are facing.

What will their plan be? Will they be able to escape Chriss' crazy mind?

Their fate is written in the next chapters, don't miss any.
