Rikto had lived his life without ever considering the mysteries of the afterlife or what might await beyond death. Suddenly finding himself in a state of non-existence, he was overcome with confusion and disorientation. The familiar world he knew had slipped away, replaced by an unknown realm that defied his understanding. In his mortal life, thoughts of what lay beyond had never occupied his mind, leaving him utterly unprepared for this existential shift. Now, confronted with the enigma of his post-mortem existence, Rikto grappled with a profound sense of unease and curiosity, unsure of where he was or what awaited him in this new and unfamiliar reality.
Suddenly, Rikto found himself enveloped in an infinite light that surpassed mortal comprehension. Within this radiant brilliance emerged Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati, their divine presence both awe-inspiring and comforting. Rikto, still bewildered by his newfound surroundings, felt a sense of peace wash over him in the presence of these ancient deities. Their ethereal forms exuded serene wisdom that seemed to transcend the boundaries of mortal existence, offering Rikto a glimpse into a realm beyond his previous understanding. As he stood before them, a profound sense of recognition and reverence filled his being, as if he had finally arrived at a destination long destined for his soul.
From Rikto's perspective, he struggled to describe his mood because he lacked any desires or emotions. He could only feel his deep devotion towards them.
With soothing smiles, they asked Rikto if he wanted to ascend to a peaceful heaven or be reincarnated in an alternate universe. Confused, Rikto questioned why he was given the opportunity for reincarnation.
They explained that his parents were great people who had selflessly helped patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and upon their passing, they had bestowed upon him half of their good karma, granting him the chance for reincarnation.
Overwhelmed with gratitude towards his loving parents, Rikto paused before asking if he could make a request for two boons. They agreed, but clarified they could not grant him immortality.
After careful consideration, Rikto requested a library containing knowledge from across the vast multiverse, and the boon of having unlimited potential.
The divine couple smiled warmly and said, "thathastu," as darkness once again enveloped him.
