Penance and boons

The next morning after waking up, Rikto first went to meet his parents. His mother Priya loves him very much. If he doesn't meet her she will be sad. After spending some quality time with his parents, he went to his room.

In his room, Rikto was sitting on a armchair, his eyes were closed. He was trying to remember the approximate time when the Pandavas and Vasudev Krishna will be born.

Rikto's Pov

Princess Kunti will marry King Pandu in a few days. If I remember correctly, Karna was born two or three years before the marriage of Kunti. And Yudhisthir was born two or three after marriage.In the next two years Bhim, Arjun and Krishna were born.So, I am 7 or 8 years older than Krishna and Arjun.

Author's Pov

After confirming the time period, Rikto was considering which sage he should learn from. Although he has access to the multiversal library, it only contains Knowledge ; there are no weapons. While the library does include knowledge of weapon making, mastering it would take many years, he does not have that much time. Moreover, he doesn't want to learn from the sages either, fearing they might curse him, if they are angry .

After contemplating, Rikto decided to do penance for the Trimurtis and the Tridevis. You know in dwapur yug, if you do penance , the Almighty might grace you with their presence and grant you boons.

So, from that day onwards, Rikto started to do penance. Besides spending time with his parents and receiving education from the Prime Minister Mukesh, he devoted all his time to penance.

10 years passed by in a flash, Rikto was now 13 years old. Today, since morning Rikto had been feeling agitated, he feels that today was the day when the almighty would grace him with their presence.So, he didn't do anything from the morning but was meditating. Suddenly he felt ethereal and heard a sound.

Mahadev : Open your eyes putra.

Rikto opened his eyes and folded his : Pranipat Tri Dev, pranipat Mata.

Tri dev and Tri devi : Kalyan ho.

Lord Vishnu : We are impressed with your penance putra, tell us what do you want?

Rikto took a deep breath and said prabhu I want all of you to accept me as your student and give me all the astras of yours.

Bramha dev : thathastu, but to get our weapons you will have to prove yourself.

Mahadev : Tommorow I will take you to the Kailash parvat, where you will get your education.

Rikto : Thank you guru dev, thank you mata.

Tri dev and devi left. Rikto stood up and happily went to his parents to tell them this happy news. His parents were astonished but also felt proud. Although Priya was reluctant to part with her son, she hardened herself not to show any sorrow in her face. She knows that her son has got a great opportunity and she shouldn't hold him back.She encouraged him to learn well .
