Chapter 3 • Dropped off

*Isla-Wren's POV *

I wake up to Mrs Greenwich screaming as usual
Mrs Greenwich: ITS TIME TO WAKE UP

I hear the girls groan and I immediately grab my uniform before running to the bathroom and getting changed then I brush my hair as best I can before going back to my room, putting my PJ's away then I grab my school bag and put Jeff in it before going downstairs and to Mrs Greenwich's office knocking on the door
Mrs Greenwich: Come in
I open the door
Mrs Greenwich: right, tablets
I follow her to the kitchen where she gets me out my tablets then walks off so I take them with a glass of water before grabbing my bag and leaving, going straight to the park.

* Skip to after school *

I get let off late so I run back home and quickly change into my everyday outfit before grabbing Jeff and going to football.

When I get there I see Tim, Lucy and the Under 18s and I go straight to Tim
Tim: Heya Iz
I smile at him
Isla-Wren: Hi
Just then Lucy comes over to us then looks at me
Lucy: Oh, hi Isla-Wren
She smiles at me and I wave.

I stand with Tim and Lucy and watch as they coach and the Under 18s play.

After training, I help tidy up when it starts raining
Tim: your not walking home are you?
He asks me
And I nod
Tim: You can't walk home in this, you can't get your cast that wet
Isla-Wren: I always walk in this weather, nobody can pick me up
He nods as Lucy comes over to us
Tim: You know I would take you home Iz but there will be no space in my car with all this equipment, maybe I can call you a taxi?

I nod understanding then shake my head no to his suggestion and give him a shrug about to start walking
Lucy: What if I drive you home?
I look at her to see her giving me a comforting and safe smile then look to Tim who shrugs.
After debating for a few moments I nod.
Tim: Thank you so much Lucy
Lucy: It's not a problem, don't worry
I follow Lucy to her car and she opens the door so I get in
Lucy: Do you need help strapping yourself in?
I nod and she straps me in before going to her side and getting in
Lucy: Can you type your address into my phone so I know where to go?
I nod and she hands me my phone so I type in the address before giving the phone back to her and we start driving.

Surprisingly it's a very comfortable silence between us with the engine humming.

We pull upto the house
Lucy: Do you need help unstrapping yourself?
I nod and she gets out before going to my side opening the door and unstrapping me
Lucy: There you go
She says with such a warm smile
I get out grabbing Jeff And give her a grateful look before walking inside and watch her car drive off when she knows that I'm safe inside then I go to the kitchen getting my dinner out of the microwave before eating it quickly then going to Mrs Greenwich's office and knocking on the door
Mrs Greenwich: Come in
I open the door and she immediately gets up and I follow her to the kitchen where she gets my tablets and I take them before going upstairs and getting changed into my pjs then going to bed.
