THE SECRET AND FORGIVENESS
Lyrien had been messaging Eli for weeks, begging for forgiveness. Eli had been ignoring him, but the messages kept coming. "Please, Eli, I know I hurt you, but I can't move on without your forgiveness."
Rachel had been noticing Eli's distraction and finally confronted him. "What's going on, Eli? You've been distant lately, and I know it's not just the prophecies."
Eli hesitated, then revealed the truth. "It's Lyrien. He's been messaging me, asking for forgiveness."
Rachel's expression softened. "Oh, Eli. You need to forgive him. He's your friend, and he's sorry."
Eli nodded, knowing she was right. But there was something else he hadn't told her... something he was ashamed of. He was still having sex with others, even though he was in a relationship with Rachel.
Rachel sensed his hesitation and took his hand. "Eli, I know you're still struggling with your sexuality. I know you've been with men before, and I'm not naive to think it's just going to disappear. But I love you, Eli, and I want to work through this together."
Eli felt a mix of emotions: gratitude, guilt, and shame. He knew he needed to come clean and work on his commitment issues. But for now, he just nodded, hoping to make it right.
