(two POV's first ICEMAN than MAVERICK)

(ICEMAN POV)

Iceman groaned into his drink, frustrated. He couldn't get the short brunette guy out of his head no matter how hard he tried to. His flaming eyes puffed lips and his stupid smirk. Ugh. He still didn't fully understand what happened in the locker room and tried breaking it into separate parts, but it wasn't possible. All that his brain had registered is that they kissed. No, they made out. That sounded so girly and foolish. It's not like he hasn't made out before. He has, with many girls but never with boys. And even if he ever thought of doing that, it wouldn't be with his greatest rival. The one he was competing with for the golden statute, for the respect of Viper. He gritted his teeth and took a sip of his beer. What did Maverick think about him right now? He kissed him back that's for sure. Tom just hoped he wouldn't hate him...even more. Maverick dissolved from the lockeroom as soon as Hollywood and Sundown barged in. He took the glass in his hand and stared at the amber drink slowly stirring and observed the bubbles that formed on the surface. He took another sip, feeling it burn down his throat. After he emptied the glass, he placed a few banknotes on the table and left the bar. He drove all the way towards to the beach. The sun was already setting, leaving a faint orange glow behind. The sand hurt his feet in a pleasant way as he walked towards the water. The waves were crashing together, as if they were angry at each other but also attracted. He frowned when he re2alized he was describing himself and Maverick. He sat at the shore sand sticking to his pants and the edges of his coat quickly covered in mud. The blond took a fistful of sand mixed with water and let it slowly fall from his grasp onto the ground. It was hard to believe these exact waves ate a whole plane less then 24 hours ago. It was crazy that Goose and Maverick survived it. Iceman sighed into the silence gazing over the horizon unsure of how he felt, and who he was which was a grand difference from his usually confident and full of himself persona.

(MAVERICK POV)
Maverick was getting ready for the beach. All the boys from Top Gun were meeting up there for a volleyball day and truthfully, Pete felt like he needed a break from his thoughts. Two days passed since the crazy kiss, and he hadn't gotten the chance of talking to Iceman alone. There were always people surrounding him or Maverick just simply hasn't found the right time. He wasn't sure what he would even tell him. Thank him for the kiss? Ask him to repeat it? Did Maverick want to repeat it? He sighed. Too many unanswered questions. He wore jeans which maybe wasn't the best choice for the beach but didn't take a shirt since it would be too warm anyways. (The logic behind that is crazy.)

"Goose, c'mon, let's go" he called out to his roommate. Goose emerged from his room, dressed in Hawaiian shorts, pink flip flops and sunglasses. He looked ridiculous. Maverick patted him on the shoulder.

"Looking great man." he teased him.
"Always." Grinned Goose grabbing the house keys from the hanger. They both drove on their motorcycles all the way to the beach. Maverick loved the feeling of freedom he had on his motorcycle, the adrenaline flowing through his veins mixed with his blood. A few minutes later they arrived, and Maverick froze when he saw Iceman talking with Slider about something next the volleyball pitch. He suspected Kazansky would be there, but he didn't expect him to look so hot. His golden hair was neatly combed back, sweat prickled on his tanned face and his torso. Oh, good god, he had abs... Maverick could not turn his eyes away and just sat there struck dumb on his motorcycle.

"Cat got your tongue?" chuckled Goose following Maverick's gaze. "Iceman?"

Maverick quickly shook out of it and glanced at Goose while getting down from his motorcycle.

"What?" he asked innocently cocking his eyebrow up and playing dumb.

Goose's eyebrows formed a very thin line it was clear he was doing some fast thinking. Finally, he shrugged and hit him playfully on the shoulder.

"If there was something you would've told me RIGHT?" asked Goose.
Maverick nodded, of course if there was actually something between him and Iceman, he wouldn't be able to keep it away from his best wingman. Yet the kiss probably meant nothing to Iceman. He put his black shades on together with his famous smirk and with Goose next to him, he entered the beach as always, all eyes on him.

(Hiiii i know i posted the second chapter so soon after the first one, but I already had it ready and I couldn't wait. Anyways I'm sooo excited to write the Volleyball scene.  :))
