ADELINEI really should've told my friends about the encounter I had with Jaxon, but I didn't. I kept my mouth shut, about the kiss, the skating arena, about how me and Jaxon were now on speaking terms.
I know, I know, this is such a bad idea. Why would I agree to this? Why would I agree to unblock him?
I was starting to have second thoughts about this secret relationship, this whole thing, actually I was starting to doubt myself. Why did I betray my friends? Why? 'Just why Adeline?' I asked myself as I held the picture frame with the four of us, we were happy, and carefree when we first entered Highschool. We planned on conquering everything, together.
The four of us. It was us against the whole entire world, but I'm betraying them right, with this, with Jaxon. The person—no one of the person—I swore that I was going to stay away from.
"Addy?" Bella called, through the screen.
"Ya, I'm here." I replied focusing back onto our call.
"Okay so, Hail, Bels, and Addy, I have an something to tell you guys." Lucy announced as she propped her phone on her table and while brushing her wet hair. "My parents are having a party at my house in honor to celebrate their 24th anniversary."
"Is it like one of those gatherings that our parents always throw?" Hailey asked as she laid on her stomach with her legs up, crossed at the ankles.
"Yes, but look we can hang out instead of staying by our parents side and talking to investors." Lucy said as she gave us a small pout, along with those pleading eyes.
"You guys are really going to leave me there alone? You guys can't leave me there all alone you. What ever happened to the four of us sticking together. The dream team?" She mentioned while trying to find words to convince us. The dream team—the definition of us from our parents, our thing.
"Okay okay, we're going to go." Hailey said as she blew a kiss throw the screen. "Right ladies?"
"Right. Of course, Luce how could we leave you alone." Bella said as she jumped into bed.
Now I'll just pray that Jaxon isn't there, I mean he hates parties—well gathering party—because he loves those parties where there were no adults, no order, just chaos.
"Addy? What's wrong with you? You've been zoning out so many times already." Hailey asked as the three of them showed be an concerned expression.
"I'm fine guys, it's really nothing serious." I answered—well I actually contemplated on that answer—my whole body, mind, heart, thoughts, were all on this secret, this could destroy the four of us, our friendship but I can't say anything, I'll just have to act like everything is normal, that Jaxon is still on blocked.
Just when I was thinking about him, an incoming call—no FaceTime—came through. With his name on it. Shoot.
"Look guys I have to go first, but Goodnight everyone." I said as I blew them all kisses and then ended the call.
Right when I did that I regretted it, why would I do that, that was so suspicious. I answered Jaxon call without a second thought and I was greeted with his smile. Okay so Jaxon wasn't as bad as I had thought he would be. Actually he was way better than I thought, he was a gentlemen, he was sweet and caring.
"Nice to see your beautiful face for a change, cupcake." Jaxon said through the screen as he was putting his toothbrush away.
"Jaxon?" I called out his name quietly.
"What is it cupcake?"
"Don't you think that this secret isn't a good thing, nonetheless a good idea."
"Cupcake, as long as we don't say anything and act like we're still mad at each-other everything will be fine. Now tell me about your day." He always asks me about my day, every night when we call and fall asleep on the phone.
"Well, you know just the regular, oh and that me and the girls are going to a party." I answered nonchalantly.
"Well cupcake, I hope you have fun at that party." He replied before taking off his t-shirt and getting into bed—fuck. He looked gorgeous, his body was the definition of being sculpted like a Greek god. "You done fantasying about my body, cupcake?"
Shit. "Stop thinking too much Jaxon. Who would fantasize about your body?" I replied as I felt my cheeks getting warm.
"That's not what your face is telling me."
"Shut up, I'm going to bed." I said fully blushing now, as I toss my phone besides me on the bed and pulled the covers over myself.
"Good night cupcake, sweet dreams."
And just like that I felt safe, protected, secure. Damn. Who knew he had this effect on me and I hated it.
"Night" I whispered before my eyes slowly started falling down and I drifted into sleep.

That's the end of this chapter!
It's a bit repetitive but I couldn't think of anything else to write so that's why it's also pretty short.
