"Lia." My mother called when she saw me walking towards the staircase. "As you're already heading upstairs, you wouldn't mind lending some of your spare towels to Jungkook." She said, and I gave her a blank look. "Why?" was the first thing I blurted out. "Well." She sighed. "All the spare towels are still wet because I wanted them fresh." I pressed my lips together and nodded, "Right, but I don't have any spare-"
"Yes- yes, you do, just leave them on his bed." She shot back, and I balled my fists. "Fine, Goodnight." I breathed, climbing the stairs. I should be glad they didn't ask me to stay for dessert. I had lost my appetite.
How did she know I had spare towels anyway? I had them hidden for this specific reason. When I reached my bathroom I took out all of my face products to find the hidden towels. So much effort, but for what? For him?
How can one be so worthy of being hated. If that makes any sense...
I hugged the towels to my chest as I left my room. The walls between the rooms were also extremely (not) soundproof, and I had a horrifying and traumatic experience with it three years ago. To cut it short, my nights were short and I'm surprised I've not gone deaf from all the music I was blasting into my ears the entire night.
I walked into his room and didn't brother to turn on any lights because I was only doing a brief visit for these towels, there was no need to waste such precious electricity for him. I loathed him.
I placed the towels on the bed and was about to leave having minded my own business, till I saw his phone laying right beside the towels I had laid out.
I shouldn't, I really shouldn't.
But I did.
I was going to give up after giving a second incorrect password, and I should've, till I tried again.
The phone unlocked and my eyes widened but his voice startled me. "What are you doing?" He asked, causing his phone to fall from my palm as I flinched.
"Nothing." I said, quickly, turning around with my hands behind my back. The room was still dark, however I could make out his features. His eyes glaring into mine, burning holes into my skin. His brows were creased and he almost looked more confused than angry.
"Towels." I muttered, walking past him but he takes hold of my elbow.
He gives me a look and I stand still as he releases me to walk over to his bed and return with his phone.
"Hm." He took my wrist and placed his phone on my palm. "I- I wasn't, well- I didn't mean to-"
"You're just as pathetic as you were then." He said, and I looked at him with no words. Just humiliation. "Stuttering, unable to complete a single sentence." He scoffed, taking his phone from me and throwing it behind me.
"And I still make your cheeks red." He moved closed, his hand running down my back till he could squeeze my softness with his rough fingers. He pressed his chest on my own and his lips hovered over my cheekbone.
"Even these ones."
My eyes pricked with tears and I pushed him away, "Asshole." I muttered, wiping my face and running into my room.
I called Theo instantly to divert my mind. He always calmed me. I fell back on my bed and sighed as I listened to the ringing sound.
After a few second wait, it suddenly connected and I heard his voice. "What are you doing?" I asked, playing with the ends of my hair. My brows furrowed when I heard some muffled noises in the background. "Are you okay, is someone with you?" I questioned.
