I saw his car from a distance and rubbed my face with my palm. I couldn't believe he was the only person I could think of. The sound of his tires against the dry road echoed in my ear forcing me to look up at my fate. He leant over and opened the door from the inside and I got in murmuring a quick "Thank you."
"What were you doing? Did I interrupt something?" I asked, noticing his attire. He was dressed up as if he was going some place. He scoffed at what I had asked him, "Forget about me, why am I picking you up from school half an hour later?" He questioned, his brows creasing as he I struggled to give him an answer.
"You can not tell our parents." I practically begged him with my palm pressed together. He did not reply and so I averted my gaze to the window.
"I was not feeling well enough to continue the day." I then said, in hope of him buying it. "You seemed fine in the morning." He shot back at me, and I looked at him, "Period cramps." I said, and he leant his elbow on the window for his fingers to rub his temples.
"You act as if I am the cause of that." I pointed at him being distressed and he gave me a quick glance, "You did not have to come get me-"
"You were crying on the phone, Lia." He said, and I cringed at it. "Are people mistreating you in that school?" I wanted to tell him about Theo, but that would only fuel his hatred towards him. "No, of course not, I have friends there."
"And that boyfriend of yours?"
I looked over at his hands loosely holding onto the steering wheel, "What about him?" I played off, and he said nothing after that.
I watched him turn off the engine and unbuckle his seatbelt once we had arrived at home. I got out of the car and shut the door, "You won't tell Jaeh, right?" I asked again, as I followed him to the front door. "Why do you care so much if I do?" He questioned back, and my eyes flickered to the keys in his hand. "Please." I repeated, my lips twitching into a frown and he stared at me. I wasn't sure what type of stare it was but it silenced him again.
He opened the door and began to take his shoes off.
His back was turned to me and I mistakenly began to tie my hair not having realised my sleeve had risen. My gaze was on the floor when he had turned around and his fingers had caught my wrist. I flinched, releasing my hair, "Let go-"
"Who did this to you?" He asked, and I could not physically speak, my body betrayed me and I burst out into tears having been overwhelmed by the situation, "He would never-" I began, but he began taking me up the stairs. "Jungkook-"
I asked you yet you chose to lie through your teeth and to my face." He gritted his teeth and walked me past my own room and into his own. He released my cardigan and went into his bathroom. I stood at the door fuddling with my fingers, contemplating if I should leave, however by the time I had made up my mind he had returned with a plastic box.
"Come here." He demanded, and I took small steps towards him sat on the edge of his bed.
He then took my wrist and rolled up my sleeve. Theo's nails had also dug into my skin leaving scratch marks over my veins. "I know what you are thinking about him. He is a kind and gentle-"
"Do not bullshit me right now, Lia." He interrupted me. His fingers wiped an antiseptic wipe over my wrist before bandaging it. He seemed done with me and so I went to retrieve my hand, but he kept hold of me. "Do you think I will disregard him hurting you?" His lips pressed on the centre of my wrist and I felt that forbidden feeling stirred within my lower region. "Jungkook-"
