Nick's P.O.V
(Flash Back)
"I thought you said the driver will pick me up by the west wing?" I asked irritatedly into the phone to my pm.
"I'm sorry sir, he is new, he is going to need time to get used to his new boss and to not be so nervous. Please don't scare him off before he gets a chance," she said playfully.
"You know good and well I'm not one of those bosses," I scolded back jokingly.
"I know you are the best boss I could have asked for," she said sincerely.
Saying our byes I stood there looking around for the black van.
Turning one last time to get a glance around a small woman ran into me causing me to grab her wrist for support.
"I am so sorry, I just turned around to make sure my car wa-" she tried but stopped when she looked up.
She was breathtaking. She was so short 5'2 or 5'3 with bright blue eyes. She was like a small angle.
"It's okay," I chuckled trying to make her less nervous.
"I should really be going now, I can't miss my flight," She mumbled.
"Wait," I chuckled. Think, think, think, I need to be able to see her again.
"We should get coffee together one day, my name is Nick by the way," I added handing my phone to her to get her number. When she handed it back I could see a small blush taking over her cheeks, god it was cute.
"Uh, yea sure that would be great, I'm Katie but you can call me Kate," She mumbled not meeting his gaze. Even her name was cute. Katie I thought trying it out. It definitely fit her.
Moving my hand from her wrist I tipped her chin up with my index finger before giving her a soft smile.
"I like when you blush, it's cute," I added looking into her light blue eyes.

Nick's P.O.V
(Present)
"Nick, I'm heading to the meeting," Kate yelled making sure I heard her.
"Please, be safe," I mumbled into her neck after wrapping my arms around her.
"You tell me that every time," She giggled when I started tickling her.
"Yeah but I mean it," I said softly.
"I love you, I don't know what I would do without you," I added.
"I love you too," She said giving me a hug before going and getting in her car.
'Okay house to myself' I thought. Time to make some business calls.
"Hey, ashley," I said into the phone.
"Hey, sir, happy 2 years sir," she said happily.
"Thank you ash, do I have any business meetings today?"
"You have one sir, would you like for me to reschedule it for you?" She asked.
"If you would please, I have all this stuff planned for Kate when she gets back," I said excitedly.
"Ohh, what do you have planned for the lucky girl," she asked intrigued.
"I have planned a candle lit dinner then after a bubble bath with pink and red rose petals all around dim lighting and expensive bath salts also I got her favorite movie 'The Note Book' for us to cuddle and watch. But also tomorrow I am going to get her up early to go sun gliding with me to see the sun rise," I said proudly.
"You really do spoil her to no end," she said teasingly.
"I try," I said chuckling.
"Okay sir, I have rescheduled your meeting for one week from now."
"Thank you ash."
Hanging up I look around to just get all that more excited about spoiling my baby.
Not being able to wipe the grin off my face I answer my phone.
"Hello?" I said still smiling.
"This is Norks Regional Hospital, I am calling on behalf of Katie Wilks Bateman, can I speak to Nick Bateman?" The man asked.
"This is he," I said worriedly.
"I'm sorry to inform you, your wife has been in an accident," he said sadly.
