Everyone is sat down at the table and you sit at the end of the table facing Damon. You don't contribute to the conversation. You just sit and listen.
Elena-"so Stefan, what made you move to mystic falls?"
Stefan-"oh well I wanted a fresh start. And I thought what better way to make a change than to go to a new place and try to start over"
Damon-" yeh that's exactly what I was going to say. It's been a hell of a ride over the years, Brother"
The table went quiet. No one really knew what to say. Until the silence was broken.
Damon-" excuse me, I didn't catch your name?"
You don't pay attention. You just sit there. When it was silent you look up and everyone was looking at you.
Y/n-"me?"
Damon-" yeh I got everyone else's name. Forgive me."
Y/n-" oh, my name is y/n"
Damon-"wow. That's a pretty name for a pretty girl"
You just stared at him. You felt awkward. Isabelle changed the subject to tryouts for football. Everyone began talking again and the rest of the evening was quite relaxing. You still think you got a bit to dressed up as you look around the table. But you decided to drop it as you can't do anything now.
Everyone is finishing up their food and you offer to help Elena clean up. You are helping while all of a sudden you drop a glass. You close your eyes. But you didn't hear it smash. When you look up, someone was standing infront of you. It's Damon.
Damon-"looks like you need help"
Elena-" yeh I was going to suggest for the girls to stay over if your up for it. I can go upstairs and set everything up while you guys clean up?"
Y/n-" yeh I'm up for it I guess. But I would need to go home and get some clothes"
Elena-"yeh okay. Well ill get to work upstairs"
She walks away and you don't say a word to Damon. You feel nervous around Damon. Maybe it's because you don't know him? But you don't want to say that. All of a sudden you bump into Damon as you walked over to put a plate away. He catches you and puts his hand on your shoulder
Damon-"hey are you ok?"
Y/n-"yeh no sorry i wasn't watching where I was going."
Damon-" you looked lost in your own thoughts. Something bothering you ?"
Y/n-"it's getting late and I have to run home to get some things. I better get going"
You turn to leave and Stefan walks in
Stefan-"hey, I'm gonna head home. It's getting late and you girls need your time."
Y/n-"yeh I have to get home, I need to pack a bag of I'm staying out tonight"
Stefan-" why don't I drop you off at home saves you walking back in the dark"
Y/n-" yeh sure. I would love that."
Damon-" mind if I get a ride brother."
Stefan-" I don't see why not"
You all leave and get in the car. As your all driving, Damon's phone rings.
Damon-"oh you have got to be kidding me"
Stefan-"what's wrong?"
Damon-" it's Elijah, you know what they say, if you ignore something it might go away"
You laugh a bit, you found it a bit funny. But you stop laughing when you see Damon gazing at you from the back.
Time goes by fast. You pull up to the house and you get out of the car. You go to walk inside when Damon jumps out of the car and walks over to you
Damon-"hey, would you want some company while you walk back to elenas. I'm really good company to have around."
Y/n-"yeh sure I have to get my things first. But then we can go
You see Stefan get out the car and call out to Damon
Stefan-" we can wait outside for you"
Y/n-" well it is dark, would you guys want to come in"
Damon-" if your offering , I would love too"
