Chapter 38

┗━━━━━━━━┛

You squinted at the flashing camera in front of you, the barrage of blinding lights making it feel as if you were being hounded by paparazzi. The rapid fire of the shutter was relentless, and you winced, instinctively raising a hand to shield your eyes.

Sensing your discomfort, Kazemaru stepped forward, positioning himself between you and the prying lenses. His tall frame and teal hair acted as a barrier, blocking the intrusive flashes. You blinked in surprise at his protective gesture, feeling a rush of gratitude.

Leaning in close, you whispered, "Thank you," your voice barely audibly above the chaos. Kazemaru responded with a nod and a reassuring smile, his presence a comforting shield.

As you took refuge behind Kazemaru, the journalist pushed forward, undeterred by the interruption. His voice cut through the noise, sharp and insistent. "We heard that your coach left the match without any explanation. Could you tell us what happened?"

Before you could even begin to formulate a response, a familiar voice rang out, clear and distinct despite the din. "ОН НО НО НО!" The voice was unmistakable-it belonged to none other than Japan's coach. "I've been in front of you this whole time!"
