---After the adrenaline-fueled mission came to a close, Victoria conducted a thorough sweep of the apartment complex where Ethan Ford had briefly been. Amidst the debris and remnants of their encounter, she discovered a small, inconspicuous card tucked away in a corner.

Picking it up cautiously, Victoria examined the card. On one side was a simple design, almost artistic in its simplicity, and on the other side, there was a single phone number handwritten in elegant script.Curiosity mingled with caution as Victoria considered the implications. Was this Ethan Ford's way of extending a challenge, a taunt, or perhaps something else entirely? She couldn't ignore the magnetic pull of the unknown, despite the risks.

~Later that night, alone in her office, Victoria stared at the card resting on her desk. With a mix of resolve and trepidation, she reached for her phone and dialed the number, the device buzzing softly against her ear as it connected.

A voice answered on the other end, smooth and devoid of any trace of surprise.

"Victoria," came the familiar voice of Ethan Ford.

She hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with questions and suspicions.

"Ford," she finally replied, her voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions within her.

"What's the game now?"

A low chuckle echoed through the line, sending a chill down her spine.

"No games, Victoria," he responded cryptically. "Just an invitation. There's much we could discuss."

"Fine, I'll meet you."

"Good," Ethan replied, satisfaction evident in his tone.

"Let's keep this between us. No need to involve the organization."

Victoria agreed silently. This was personal now, a game between her and Ford that she needed to play on her own terms.

"Where?" she asked, keeping her tone neutral.

"There's a place called Twilight Lounge," Ethan answered smoothly. "Meet me there tomorrow night."

Victoria jotted down the details, her mind already formulating strategies for the meeting.

"I'll be there," she confirmed, ending the call before any further words could complicate the situation.

After a long day filled with tension and intrigue, Victoria finally returned home to her apartment. The familiar scent of lavender greeted her as she stepped through the door. She moved through the rooms with practiced ease, shedding her professional attire in favor of more casual clothing.

Victoria closed her eyes, willing herself to find solace in the darkness. Sleep eluded her briefly, her mind replaying fragments of their conversation and the enigmatic allure of Ethan Ford.
