Chapter 6: Twilight Rendezvous

Ethan Ford entered the Twilight Lounge with a relaxed confidence, his eyes sweeping the dimly lit room until they settled on Victoria. He made his way to the table he had chosen in a secluded corner, a slight smile on his lips as he took a seat opposite her.

Ethan: "Good evening, Victoria. I'm glad you agreed to meet me here. It's a place I appreciate a lot".

Victoria: "Good evening, Ethan. Yes, it's an interesting choice. She gave a slight smile while maintaining a professional demeanor".

Ethan: "I hope you didn't have trouble finding the place. I know missions can sometimes be complicated".

Victoria: "No, everything went smoothly. (She avoided his gaze for a moment.) Listen, Ethan, we need to talk about what happened last time..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Ethan subtly glanced over his shoulder, noticing a potential threat approaching. His expression changed slightly, and he leaned in closer.

Ethan: "I think we might have company soon. It's best to keep this brief. What do you want to discuss?"

Victoria: She nodded discreetly, understanding the signal. "There's been intel indicating suspicious activity in the region. I thought it might be related to your operations".

Ethan: "Interesting. Any concrete details?"

Victoria: "Not yet, but I'm continuing my investigations. I wanted to give you a heads-up first. She took a sip of her drink. And you, any news on your end?"

Their conversation continued in hushed tones, exchanging crucial information while remaining vigilant about their surroundings, setting aside their previously flirtatious encounter in the face of their professional responsibilities.

After Victoria took a sip of her drink, Ethan paused for a moment, then suggested that they continue their discussion in a more private setting at his place.

Ethan: "Victoria, I think it would be safer to carry on this conversation in a more private place. Come to my place, we can talk in peace".

Victoria, surprised by the proposition, hesitated for a moment. She knew it was risky, but part of her was curious to hear what Ethan had to say in a more intimate setting.

Victoria: "Hmm, okay. That might be a good idea. Just give me a moment to sort out a few things".

Ethan nodded slightly, understanding her caution. They quickly settled their tabs and left the bar together, heading towards Ethan's apartment where they could continue their conversation away 

Victoria: ok let's go.
