Dylan
Friday 7:33pm
I think high school might be the worse time of my life. Nothing makes sense. Carmie is excited and Kev has probably bumped into everyone in the school by now. "Isn't this so COOL?! We are gonna rock this high school thing." Carmie screeches, spinning in a circle.
A goth boy shoves his shoulder into Kev while walking past him. "Human being here, people!" he calls behind him, even more ticked off than he always was. I look at my schedule then look up. This should be my locker. Once I put the combination in and swing open the door, I hear, "Heh. Stupid goggles." a raspy, quiet voice whispers beside me. If they would have said it any quieter, I probably wouldn't have heard it. Glancing to my right, I see a girl leaning her locker staring at me with a smug look on her face.
Her shaggy, brown hair covers her face a bit and she's wearing a baggy black tee that hangs off her shoulder a little bit.
(her outfit looks kinda like this...outfit is not mine)
And she has this smirk on her face that makes me wanna throw her through a wall. "My goggles?" I say, turning to face her. Her eyes go wide knowing I heard what she said but then she gives me a cocky smile.
"Maybe, I don't see any other losers with any." she says, popping her hip out. "I'll have you know that these-" She puts her finger over my lips to silence. In her raspy voice, she whispers, "I don't really care. See you, Goggles." Before I could say anything, she turns and limps down the hall. Can we just realize that she is limping? Should I be concerned that she's limping at such a young age or that she just insulted me?
Am I worried or offended? Self-consciously fidgeting with my goggles on my head, I open up my locker all the way and stack my books on the first shelf. "Hey Dylan! Looks like you found your locker, huh? How can you walk so fast?" Carmie breathlessly says when she catches up to me.
Kev follows right behind her, panting. "Car...carmie. Pl-please don't run...that fast...again." Suddenly, my goggles feel really itchy and I really wanna take them off. I take them off and aggressively shove them in my backpack. "Why are yo-" Kev starts. I cut him off by saying, "I just wanted to okay?!" Kev throws his hands up, backing up. "Okay, buddy." he murmurs.
"Alright, let's get to class." I say curtly, looking at my locker and speed walk down the hallway.
