*Y/N'S POV*

"We have something to announce, kids," my father's voice boomed through the magnificent library of our manor. The announcement was clearly important, for my father's voice was emitting some kind of proudness. I glance over at Draco Malfoy, my best friend, and give him a questioning look. I wonder if he knows what my father is going to announce. Draco is a wizard, just like me, and we've been best friends since we were little kids. We've been through a lot together, and I trust him implicitly.

It was a warm and sunny day in July, and I was enjoying my summer vacation before returning to Hogwarts for my seventh and final year. I was looking forward to seeing my friends again and finishing my studies.

Lucius Malfoy's deep voice continued, "This announcement is deeply important, and you have no choice but to accept it. This is not a decision you can refuse." The room was silent. Lucius's words hung in the air like a dark cloud, casting a pall over the gathering. No one dared to speak, for fear of what might happen if they did.

Draco looked up from the game we were playing and asked, "What is this announcement that we have no choice but to accept?"

"That, my son, will be discussed during dinner, in a more formal setting, so that it can be officially agreed upon," the older blonde replied to the younger one.

                                                                *Time-skip to dinner*

"Now it's time to make the announcement," my father said, making everyone put down their cutlery to listen. "I have something very important to tell you, but first, I need your full attention."

"Lucius and I have made an arrangement that is very important," my father said. "This arrangement binds our two families together and determines your future. It also qualifies you children to join the society of purebloods.''

My heart sank as I realized the implications of my father's announcement. "What does that mean?" My brother, Luca, asked. "Are you saying that we're going to be forced to marry into a pureblood family?" My heart sank even further as I realized that my father was not joking.

My father stood before me, his arms folded across his chest, a serious expression on his face. "Yes, that's right," he said, "but not for you, Luca." His words washed over me like a cold shower, making me realize that he was not making this announcement for Luca, but for me.

"You want me to marry into a pureblood family?" I ask, horrified. "Are you serious?" I can't believe he would even think of such a thing. There are several reasons why this is a terrible idea. First, I don't want to be part of a family that's full of prejudice and hatred. Second, I don't want to get married when I've not even graduated. And third, I don't want to marry into a family just for blood-status, since I was young I always wanted to marry out of love.

"What's my dad's role in this?" Draco asked, confusion evident in his voice. That's when the pieces fell into place for me. They wanted me to marry him...

''You don't- You don't want me to marry - dad that's-'' I started.

"That is the decision, Y/N," my father declared. "You will marry Draco at the end of this month."

I looked across the table at Draco. His face was as pale as mine, and he was staring at his food. That's when I realized that he knew what my father was going to announce. Draco and I had been friends since we were little, and I could always tell when something was bothering him. But this was different. He had been acting so strangely lately that I hadn't even recognized him.

Draco, you can't be fine with this," I said in horror. "I can't marry you. We're too young to get married! And I don't even like you that way."

I know, dear," my mother said with a sigh. "But your father just said that you don't have a choice in this matter." She knew I didn't like the idea of being sent away, but she also knew that my father was adamant about it. "I'm sorry, dear. I know this is hard."

"This is just... crazy!" I said as I stood up, my anger fuming inside me. I turned and stormed out of the room, away from everyone. How could they be so calm about this?

''Luca, go calm your sister down.'' Was all I heard, before walking away.
