"Ah, Captain. You're at my desk. Just what I wanna see first thing in the morning." Jake chuckled awkwardly. "You're three minutes late, Peralta." Holt stated. "Not my fault. I had a plumbing problem." Jake admitted, though it didn't sound real. "Which reminds me, I'm gonna need a new departmentally issued phone. Oh, come on, really? I'm a few minutes late, so you're gonna call me out in front of everyone?"
Holt internally smirked at Peralta's white maleness. "Good idea. Everyone? Gather round, so I can call out Peralta in front of you." Jake had a look of irritation on his face. "Okay, fine. I was three minutes late. I'm sorry for doing one thing wrong." Holt simply stared at him. "Oh, it's more than one thing." Jake made his signature 'i fucked up' face. "Uh-oh." Captain Holt proceeded to absolutely humiliate Jake infront of the whole precinct.

"Okay, detectives, let's get started. Santiago, where are we with the Jay Street drug bust?" Amy nodded towards Terry and started speaking. "There are 12 keys of coke unaccounted for, but we just got a warrant to search the dealer's apartment." Terry nodded. "Good. Take Boyle and Diaz." Charles smiled and did a weird little cheer "Dream team." Which everyone ignored.
"Peralta, brief us on the vandalism case." Jake faked a sad expression. "Well, there's no easy way to put this, Sarge, but someone has been painting wieners on squad cars." Laughter rung throughout a briefing room. Jake waited for it to die down before continuing. "And apparently, they won't stop until there's a penis drawn on every cop car in Brooklyn."
Hitchcock opened his mouth, sadly. "Oh, that's what he's been drawing. But what are those little round things at the bottom?" Scully leaned over and helped his friend. "That's the butt." Jake and the others raised an eyebrow. "The butt?" He questioned. Holt made a smart move and chose to ignore those two. "I assume you have a plan to catch this gentleman."
"Did you just say "genital-man"? Because if so, kudos, and yes, I have a plan. I'm gonna plant a decoy squad car as bait. Meanwhile, I'll be waiting in an undercover vehicle here. He's already tagged three U/C vehicles." Jake stated. Terru shook his head. "He can clearly spot 'em. You should take my minivan." Rosa let out a laugh. "A minivan?" Laughter rung out throughout the briefing room yet again.
Terry glared at everyone. "You all got a problem with my minivan?" Everyone stopped laughing. He suddenly stopped looking scary and looked insecure. " ‘Cause my wife doesn't like it either. She wanted an SUV, but those things roll, man. They roll!" Holt agreed with Terry's idea. "That's a good idea, sergeant. We'll take the van." Jake felt his heart stop. "We? Are you coming with me? Sir, with all due respect, I don't need backup." Even though you couldn't see the smirk on Captain Holt's face, you could hear it in his voice as he spoke. "It's not backup. It's babysitting."

Jake approached Terry’s desk to vent out his feelings. "So Holt's coming on my stakeout now? I made a mixtape with some very explicit rap on it, and now I can't sing along." Terry raised his eyebrow. "You made a mixtape?"
Jake scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Yes, I still listen to cassettes. This guy is all over me. I mean, a captain on a minor vandalism case? It's insane."
Terry let out a fustrated sigh. "What's insane is how you refuse to get with the program. There is a new sheriff in town, Jake." Jake just pouted. "Well, I like the old sheriff. I mean, McGintley wouldn't care about a messy desk or all these stupid rules."

When Jake reached Terry's minivan, Captain Holt was sitting in the driver's seat. "You left without me." Jake complained. "You were late again." Holt stated. Jake huffed. "Well, I had to put on my undercover minivan disguise. Say hello to Harvey Norgenbloom, CPA, recently divorced father of two with a dark sexual secret. What's your cover?" Holt grit his teeth. "Angry Captain." Jake finally took the hint. "Okay, so you do not like my ensemble."
"I'm just concerned that you may find it hard to pursue a criminal on foot while wearing man sandals." Holt stated. "But the sandals define Harvey. He's a sandals guy." Jake puased and let out a sigh. "Captain, why the babysitting? Why are you micromanaging me?"
"You think I wanna be sitting here with you instead of running my precinct?"
"Yes."
"It was a rhetorical question. I've spent the last 12 years fighting for my first command, and I'm not gonna let you screw it up because you refuse to take your job seriously." He stated nonchalantly. "Hey, I do take my job seriously. I put away bad guys. That's what matters." Jake was offended. "Well, so does doing your paperwork, showing up on time, and wearing proper footwear." Jake raised his hands in surrender. "That's on Harvey. That's not me." Holt ignored him.
"Well, so here's the deal. You're gonna have a superior officer babysitting you on every one of your cases. And when you show me that you can do your job... Every part of your job... Perfectly, then I'll back off." Jake nodded and agreed with thsoe terms.
"Okay. Counteroffer. I give you 50 bucks, and you let me do whatever I want. Fine. We'll do it your way. From this point on, I'll do every part of the job perfectly, perfecter than perfectly." Holt corrected him. "It's "more perfectly." You said that imperfectly." Jake smiled. "I was testing you. You did perfectly."
They say in silence for a while. "Peralta, what do you know about Aurelius Stryker?" Holt watched as Jake's head snapped in his direction. "Why? Is she back?!" He asked excitedly. Holt quickly told him that she wasn't, and he was just curious about her.
"She was one of the best. Not only was she a good detective, but she was also an amazing person. She was like my own little sister. Before she had the money to drive back and forth, I used to give her a lift. She stayed near my house until she got enough money to move houses and get a motorcycle. I think she gave her motorcycle to Diaz? I'm not sure. She was extremely energetic and always brightened the room." Holt listened as Paralta rambled on. This Aurelius girl was truly a pure soul. She was nothing less than the sun. Holt had a sinking feeling that if she ever returned, she might never be the same.
One thing stuck out to him. Rosa Diaz. What was her relationship with the undercover detective? He had done his research on Rosa Diaz. She was a beast. There was footage of her being held back by Aurelius during a crime scene in order to not murder the cop because he disrespected Aurelius for being asian. Holt might be overthinking, but she did seem protective over Aurelius. Every video and every security feed he looked at where the two were together, she was always next to Aurelius. She even got suspended for a month for assaulting a police officer because he tried to sexually harass Aurelius. Holt made sure that police officer was fired after seeing that feed. Wherever he looked, if Aurelius was there, so was Rosa. He then made his final decision.
After this, he was going to have a long chat with Rosa Diaz about the undercover detective, Aurelius Cleopatra Stryker. He was so into his thoughts that he had almost not heard Jake speak. "Quick update on the tagger situation... He is currently spray-painting our van right now."
