Both male sighed as they took a sip from their own favorite beverage, looking at the few university students that passed by the bench they were currently sitting at. They were beside a vending machine and looked like they were tired with life when the truth is, they were just done with class and had nothing to do at all.
For Ni-ki and Sunoo, taking up bachelor of performing and fine arts was heaven and hell at the same time. They get to do what they love but it also requires a lot of energy and effort. Ni-ki was in his third year of being a dance major while Sunoo was in his fourth year for majoring in visual arts and they would often hang out together since their schedule often matched up just like what they were currently doing now.
To them, money wasn't a problem. It gave them enough choice to pick whatever they want since they would always have something to fall back to. However, in some cases, it's a whole different story.
"Hey!" Jake who arrived at the scene gave them a smile before plopping his body on the bench, carrying a full backpack and a packed gray duffle bag on the ground.
"I want to buy some drinks too, I only have a one hour vacant before my next class. Please give me money" he demanded before Sunoo took out his wallet and handed it to Jake, bored with his life.
The beta smiled as he ran towards the vending machine to get himself three bottles of coffee. Jake was a med student, currently in his fifth year which explains why he's all over the place.
"Where's Heeseung hyung?" Ni-ki asked before handing Jake his sandwich which the latter took wholeheartedly, gobbling up the food.
"Probably in class? you know, engineering students and their math hustle. The medicine department is as busy as it is" Jake replied, mouth filled with bread.
"Should've shifted to fine arts, it's heaven in ours" Ni-ki mentioned while snickering and giving Sunoo a high five.
"First of all, I don't have the hand of an artist like Sunoo and I'm not obsessed with dancing, Niki. Plus, my parents are barely paying my tuition and school fees... I can't afford to shift" Silenced lurked the three of them before both younger males dawned on a realization. They both admit that they sounded a little too ignorant knowing that their friend was a little less fortunate, financially.
"Feel free to call us if you're a little tight with money and can't ask your parents for some, Jake. We're here to help" Sunoo assured before he placed his hands on top of the beta, accepting Jake's side hug. The latter had always been clingy.
"I will..." Jake stayed in that position, taking in Sunoo's warmth.
The bench stayed silent again, back to zoning out until Ni-ki decided to break the silence.
"I don't want you contacting that stupid boy toy ever again, do you understand?" The younger announced with conviction without looking at Sunoo who scoffed from the authorative tone. The sentence caught Jake's attention who was now raising his brow, demanding for an explanation.
"What happened? Are you talking about his new boy toy? The beta from engineering department?" Jake asked, curious as Ni-ki nodded his head.
"Yes. That bastard sexually harassed Sunoo at the bar last week, saying bullsht like 'it's fine, you sleep with me anyway'" the youngest grumbled, remembering how the beta cornered Sunoo at the bathroom stall. Jake perked up from his seat before looking at Sunoo.
"This is why I told you to deal with your heat cycle alone! Get a higher dose of suppressants or something so you don't have to settle for trash people like them" The beta nagged which was later on agreed by the youngest who shakes his head in disappointment. If Ni-ki didn't come to check on him, something worse could've happened and Sunoo knew that too.
