The summer was at it's peak. Scorching heat from the sun radiating even at 7 am in the morning. The birds were chirping with their usual sounds. Vehicles, traffic, people all were awake and moving.
Amidst it all, Shubman refuses to wake up from his bed.
Today was his college's first day. And he was not really interested.
Cause he didn't like people.
Or maybe he just. Didn't like himself.
There were sounds coming from downstairs. His mum was probably preparing breakfast for everyone and his father would be reading newspaper.
Everyday, he felt like this.
Everyday he felt like he was one step closer to ending it.
The Life.
"Shub puttar, neeche aajaa"
His everyday thought process, often gets disturbed like this, with his mom calling him out of it. Not that it was helping him any.
He reluctantly got up from the bed, dragging his feet in the bathroom, taking a shower and put on a hideous hoodie.
He took his bag from his table, which he barely ever uses.
When he reached the dining table, his mom served him parathas with dahi.
It was delicious.
And he wanted to enjoy it.
But-
"Aaj college ka phla din hai, meri naak mt ktwa dena"
Shubman stopped mid way into eating.
That's what he didn't like about life.
A happiness as simple as food was not in his favour.
What kind of life was he living even?
He decided that he doesn't have the will to speak at all. So he quietly ate his breakfast and just ran out of his house.

If his house was not less of nightmare, the college was.
But atleast they were strangers.
Strangers don't hurt you, stab you and scar you emotionally.
That's what closer ones do.
Anyway, he made his way to the class he was assigned.
That's when a sudden force knocked into him and he stumbled back but thankfully he didn't fall.
The sudden force did, with all his books.
The sudden force- was a boy, his age, with big doe eyes and squishy cheeks and full lips.
Those heart shaped lips were saying something, he realised.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to run into you"
Guess this guy was a sorryholic. There were people like that who liked to say sorry a lot.
Shubman stood straighter muttering an it's okay.
But he was stopped when that same guy, shouted,
"Hey, I know I knocked into you, but show some decency to help out here, will you?"
Well that was a first.
Shubman stammered back to his feet, going beside the guy to help him with gathering the books.
