(SET IN SEASON 5)
Even after being set free from Overhaul, Eri still dreams of her time in captivity and is burdened by her constant fear of returning to that lonely solitude. Thankfully, Eri's big brother Izuku, knows how to comfort her.
*****Eri wasn't a stranger to nightmares as since the day she got her quirk, her life had been a constant struggle.
Once Papa had gone, so had Mama, and then Grandpa soon after, until Eri was left with him; Kai Chisaki.
Eri didn't know what to think of her new caretaker at the time as other than wearing a strange-looking mask, Mr. Overhaul seemed to prefer to keep to himself.
It wasn't until Mr. Overhaul started cutting her open and taking the lives of others for Eri to comply, that reality set in.
Eri knew what she was as Mr. Overhaul had explained it to her many times. Because of her quirk, her curse, Eri had to be locked away.
But Mr. Overhaul was there to ensure Eri was unable to hurt anyone else, even if she had to be ripped to shreds before being pieced back together.
Eri knew it to be true as when Papa first disappeared, Mama had looked at her with such fear in her eyes as if her entire existence was an abomination itself.
So it was safe to say that Eri had stopped dreaming once Mr. Overhaul had secluded her from the rest of the world.
But nowadays, even when the bad man is gone when Eri dreams, it is always the same.
Throughout the dream, Eri was the girl with bandages wrapped around her arms and legs, sitting helplessly on a bed in a room that was too wide to house her, with only untouched gifts from her captors filling the space.
In her world, she liked to imagine that in her room full of boxed toys, there were at least hundreds of boys and girls, and nobody shouted or talked too loud as Eri was surrounded by whispers of reassurances.
A castle on a cloud appears and Eri is running towards the end of the tunnel, where the light illuminates as it calls to her.
There she meets a boy with diamond freckles sprayed on both cheeks with emerald-green eyes that hold nothing but kindness.
Not standing too far away from him was an older boy who had bright blond hair and a signature red cape.
Eri's heart feels lighter than air as the boy's hands come up and wrap around her protectively, to shield her from the darkness, like a guardian angel.
Eri is also certain that she hears someone singing a lullaby in the background as the boy tightens his grip while remaining soft to the touch.
A shadow resembling a bird comes behind them and Eri knew his presence all too well as she immediately shuttered in fear.
