TARA, ROBIN, LILY, AND VIOLET SAT IN THE USUAL BOOTH AT THE BAR, MULTIPLE CATALOGS OPEN ON THE TABLE
victoria walked in and sat next to violet, hey! i'm on my way to meet ted. it's our two-month-iversary, we're going out to dinner"
continuing to look at the catalogs, violet spoke, "great. well, that answers all the questions i didn't ask"
"violet!" tara kicked her under the table
"oh, come on. we bust on each other. we're just at that place in our strong friendship" violet defended, smiling
victoria looked at her in awe, "really? oh" she gave her a tight hug, "what are you guys up to? oh, dress shopping! i make wedding cakes for a lot of fancy bridal shops. i could take you shopping. maybe get you a discount"
"really? that would be great" lily exclaimed
a phone ringing pulled them out of their conversation. victoria excused herself and walked away
violet looked at lily, "hey. i thought it was gonna be just us tomorrow. what's with inviting punky brewster?"
"violet. you've gotta get over this ted and victoria thing. you had your chance, and now he's moved on. can't you just be happy for them?" lily spoke
"the best i can give you is a fake smile and dead eyes"
lily smiled, "sold!"
walking back over to the table, victoria's mouth was wide open
"victoria, what's wrong?" tara questioned
"i've just been offered a fellowship at culinary institute in germany"

"now, what sort of dress did you have in mind, dear?" the bridal shop worker asked
"nothing too huge or poofy. i'm not really a girly girl. but i would like to look like a beautiful princess" lily explained
robin chimed in, "i saw a couple up front that were nice"
"by the window?" robin nodded. the worker turned to lily, "no offense, dear, but those are a little out of your price range" and with that she left the room
"where does she get off? she doesn't know how much money i make" lily turned to her friends
victoria nodded, "these women are experts. they can guess your net annual income just by looking at your underwear"
exhaling, lily spoke, "damn you, old navy and your reasonably-priced three packs"
the girls laughed, "at least we get free champagne" tara held up her glass
"and cake" violet replied. she turned towards victoria, "speaking of, victoria, have you decided what to do about your donut fellowship?"
lily, robin, and tara both gave violet a side eye
"i mean, i want to go, but i don't want to lose ted. i even thought about long-distance, as if that ever works"
"all talking and no sex. kill me now" lily chimed in
lily put her glass down as the bridal worker came into the room with more dresses
victoria took a breath, "i know it sounds lame, but i actually think that ted might be the one. that's pretty hard to walk away from"
"well, i don't know. i'd feel a little setpford turning down a huge opportunity to chase some guy i'd only known two months" violet spoke
"but this isn't just some guy. this is ted. he's amazing. he's the best guy i know"
