Author's note: I legit don't have names or anything yet I just have a starter idea
--------------------------------------------------------------"I don't understand why I'm always scheduled to closer shift." I mumbled to myself while inserting my earbuds. I grabbed the spray bottle out of the closet and headed into the dining area. The tables are covered in spilled soda and food crumbs.
Headlights blinded me as a van pulled in and a man hopped out. "Why so late?" I mutter. A tall man with a dark brown ponytail, plain blue jeans, and a shirt for some weird ghost-hunting show stained with what looked to be blood walked into the dining area. "One moment," I sigh. I finish the table, heading to the register.
"may I take your order?" I say in a monotone voice. The man's voice spoke in a surprisingly energetic yet patient tone "Can I please get a number 17 combo with large fries and a drink.". I ring the man up quickly. "That will be $14.67.". I hand him the receipt.
The man upon receiving his order left the building in a rush. The rest of the cleaning went by quickly. When the clock struck 12 I was ready to go home.
On my way out I noticed a flyer on the building. It read "Extras needed will pay call: 555-555-5555". I wrote the number down. Work doesn't pay well and I always wanted to be an actor so it's worth giving it a shot even if it's just for that extra bit of cash.
"How was work" jay asked "Work was alright. I guess." I say to Jay. We've been friends for a while and we share an apartment. Not a half bad deal. They have a pizza on the counter so I grab a slice. It's not bad just cheap fast food pizza. I sit on the couch and flick through the television. There's that ghost show. I should call. Maybe I can get a spot on the show.
"Tomorrow's a new day." I said as I went to bed. I had called the number earlier and scheduled my audition. I figured I wouldn't need one but apparently the role is big enough. Oh well.
