I woke up at 8 a.m. Today's the day of the audition. Have to get dressed. It's not super fancy so I think I'll just go with a standard black button up and black slack. The outfit looks kind of basic so I switch the black button up for a white button up and add a black jacket.
I grab a bagel and jog out the door. If I'm going to make it in time I can't stop for coffee. I jog down Main Street and flag down a taxi. I thank the driver and we speed off.
We pull up to the makeshift office theater thingy. The driver speeds off. It's 8:15 so I run across the street grab some breakfast and head back. There is a receptionist sat up at the entrance. I greet the guy and he buzzed me into the empty room. I look around. There's a few folding chairs. They marked off a section of floor for what I assumed is supposed to be the stage. Interesting I guess.
The person who I spoke to on the phone walks in. She's followed by 2 people. The first of which I don't know. I smile and shake their hands. I note how the second person was the guy who showed up right before closing. Actor or maybe director. I doubt they'd bring a camera man or writer.
They ask a few questions. Throw a few soft things to see my reflex. There's a few prompts for me to act out. Nothing out of the usual I suppose. A lot of effort was spent working on this interview. It went by pretty fast. Not much to say here.
I think that went well. Seems like they enjoyed my interview a little. I'll just catch a ride home home. I stop at the pizza place on the way home. More shitty pizza.
I go home and do the dishes. Gotta mop the floor. Just some quick cleaning to tidy up for when Jay gets home.
Same thing as always. Jay gets home. I respond with "Today was alright.". Eat the pizza. Watch TV. Go to bed. I really want to get that gig. I'm tired of the same things every day I need some variety.
Time for bed
