~ Chouti's POV ~ I am writing down people's orders while the other waiter is bringing their meals out to their tables. " Where is Kaiyia? " Tatsuki asked. " Today is her day off. She has Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. Her son has an appointment at 12. " I answered, walking over to the counter and giving the orders to the cooks.
" How old is he? " He asked, filling the cups at table 4 water. " He's 8. " I smiled and walked over to another table and got their orders.
" Hi, Welcome to Denio's Diner. What can I get for you? " I asked. " Hi, can we get the family breakfast meal? " The woman asked. I nodded. " Of course. " I wrote it down. " My husband wants a black coffee, but put the sugars and creams on the side, please. " She said. I smiled and wrote it down. " I want a large coffee with 10 sugars, 7 creams, and my kids will have apple juice. " She smiles. I smiled.
I nodded and wrote the rest of the order down.
" Okay, that will be out in 8 minutes. " I smiled and walked to the back register and fixed the parents' drinks.
Walking back over to the table, I placed her drink down, then his with sugar and cream. " Thank you, sweetie. " She said, taking a sip. " No worries. " I said, walking over and pouring the kids' drinks and giving them their drinks. " Thank you. " They said. " You're welcome. " I said.
Meanwhile, at the doctor's ~ Kaiyia's POV ~ Ken and I are in the waiting room, waiting for Keino's name to be called. I grabbed my phone out and saw a message from that same number. I sighed and put my phone back. " Mommy! " Keino called. I turned and smiled. " What, baby ? " I asked. He pointed to my phone. I shook my head, he huffed and went to Draken. I laughed, and Ken gave his phone to Keino. He takes and watches some cartoons.
" He's getting better. " He smiles. " I know. " I said, looking at him. " So, did you already decide? " He asked. I hummed. " About the personal assistant position? " He asked. " Ah! That is what I'm going to see the man about. " I said, taking my phone out and turning it on to see the time.
" Kaiyia, I think it would be better if you work for me. You and Keino will be with me every day. " He says. I nod. " I want to move into a house for Keino to have a lot of room for him to play around, and I don't have to worry about neighbors and noise complaints. " I smiled. " So, you're taking the job ? " He asked. " Yes, Ken, my landlord flirts with me. He tries to get into my pants. " I get up and grab his phone. I give it back to him.
" He almost broke in. " I say, grabbing Keino and putting him on my lap. " Keino Ryuguji! " The nurse called his name. I grabbed my purse and started walking. Ken gets up and walks out.
In the room Keino is sitting on the bed, waiting for his doctor. I give him his IPad, he grabs it and starts playing. There was a knock on the door. I got up and opened it. I saw Ken standing there. " What do you want ? " I asked, still pissed off. " Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to piss you off. I was just looking out for you. " He said. I sighed. " I know. " I stepped to the side and let him in.
