Chapter 2: The hidden enemy

First Person

I lay comfortably in one of the skyscrapers on Christophis. Nestled in my shoulder was my sniper rifle as I looked over the streets below through its scope. I have cut a hole into the glass pane to freely shoot my weapon. Next to me were also two cannons being build by the 212th who were station along with Kenobi on the same floor as me.

We were going all out with this ambush. Across the street was also Skywalker setting up his legion. A perfect pincer. I heard the door open but didn't bother to check who it was. Kenobi stood next to me holding his macrobinocular looking through it towards the same road I was aiming at.

Cody: "We're back, General."

I heard a voice behind me talking to Obi-wan which I recognized as the one from Commander Cody. I concentrated on the road as I saw movement in the distance. I turned a little gear on my scope to enhance until I could fully identify what it was.

(Y/N): "Droid column ahead. Coming down the main road. Must be a whole battalion." 

I started to aim further into their backline.

(Y/N): "Followed by AAT-Tanks. This will be a hard one."

We waited patiently to walk right into our trap. I kept my cross hair on the front of the column. My breath steady, my finger on the trigger. Then the droids decided to split into three groups with the outer two heading for our occupied buildings.

(Y/N): "They're splitting up! They are heading for our building!"

Clone 1: "What?"

Obi-Wan: "Something's gone wrong. Prepare all troops for-"

He was interrupted as blaster fire was open from one of the elevator. The clones guarding it were quickly killed before they could react. A squad of B1-Battle Droids  started pouring out of the elevator shooting and killing every clone they came across.

My hand snapped to my sidearm quickly pulling it and aiming at the robots. I unloaded as fast as I could killing two droids. I heard the ignition of a lightsaber probably Obi-Wan's.

The other clones were reaching for there weapons to defend themselves as the horde poured into our room. Kenobi lifted the first one with the force and threw him back into the doorway temporally blocking it.

Obi-Wan: "Go! Go!"

I grabbed my sniper throwing it over my shoulder and ran over towards the other exit. The Jedi-Master started deflecting the red laser bolts while I occasionally returned fire.

Obi-Wan: "Abort the mission."

I turned around. Firmly gripping my pistol I started shooting at the droids while taking steps back along with the other clones. Droids started littering the floor but no matter how many we killed more and more were coming.

I stopped in my tracks as I heard blaster fire coming from the hallway behind me. I swung around and saw another squad of droids coming. I aimed my blaster and took two droids out before taking cover next to the door. I started to peek out again and again to fire.

(Y/N): "We're surrounded!"

More and more of us began to fall as we hold our position.

This commission didn't went unnoticed by Skywalker as I heard him over my comlink.
