Chapter 1
*Scene set at a circus*
*Star's POV*
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! BOYS AND GIRLS! I INTRODUCE STAR, THE PYROMANICAC STILT-CLOWN!!!!!!!" The ringleader cheered now waiting for me to come out
A lot of people started getting excited, cheering and clapping, waiting for me to start my act.
*"I am not prepared for this, but I have to get over myself. I am doing my favorite job."* I thought to myself as I was getting prepared to come out on stilts.I started running out on the stilts and juggling "fire." I looked out into the crowd and saw a couple kids scared about the fire, some crying, some in shock, and some fascinated. As I was going along with my act, I needed someone from the crowd to "help." A ton of kids and some people my age or older were raising their hands, hoping to be chosen. I saw this gothic boy in the crowd who seemed really somehow more interested in my act than the children.
"YOU, GOTHIC BOY WITH THE PALE BLUE EYES IN THE THIRD ROW!!!!" I said waiting for him to come up.
Some kids in the front who seemed eager to come up, started crying making me damn near lose my mind. The gothic boy started coming up and once I saw him, he seemed extra damn fine with his icy-blue eyes."Okay I am gonna give you some torches to toss at me so I can set them on fire, okay?" I was explaining to the gothic boy so he could be prepared
"Alright." The gothic boy was holding out his hands ready for the items.
I hand the gothic boy some torches so he could toss them at me. As I back up a bit, he starts tossing them to me and as I catch them, he seems more and more excited as I catch and set them on fire. As I start to finish my act of juggling the flaming torches, I then toss one back at the gothic boy. The circus has a rule where whoever comes up and does the act with the circus members, they keep one of the props.
"THANK YOU ALL FOR WATCHING MY PREFORMANCE!!!!" I exclaim as crowd starts cheering and clapping. I start walking away as the gothic boy also goes back to his seat.
As the circus keeps going on I watch from the side and see the gothic boy admiring the torch. Making me smile. I then realize I am obsessing over a boy I just met, like I usually do, so I stop smiling because I know that even if I do somehow pull him, the relationship will be short and toxic asf.*After the other circus members' performances and at the autograph area*
I sit in my chair without my stilts. A ton of people rush to all the "cutesy" clowns because they don't wanna take their kids to the goth pyromaniac stilt-clown especially after some of them were crying. I then see the gothic boy from earlier looking around. He sees my booth and rushes up to me faster than I've ever seen a man rush up to me, it was fucking scary to have him run up that quick."Hel-" I try to speak but get interrupted by him
"I thought your act was really cool and I thought you could sign the torch you gave me?" The gothic boy kept rambling about how good my performance was as he was giving me the torch. I then take the torch and take out my pen to start signing, contemplating whether to leave my number or something.
I could hear him say something along the line of "You should give me your number too." under his breath.
I immediately signed the torch and I put my number on it, excited to text him. After I gave the torch back, he took it and started walking away. I saw him look at the now signed torch and start getting really excited and pulled out his phone, ready to put me in his contacts. Once he left only a few other people came to me to get my signature. After giving signatures out for a while I forgot about the gothic boy. I got back to my room and started wiping off my makeup and changing my clothes and taking a little break and relaxing. As I was finally getting back to into my clothes, I heard a notification on my phone. I picked my phone up, unlocked it, then saw a text from a random number, thinking it would just be a spam message.I checked it and it said "Hey, it's the gothic boy from the third row at your show."
I started freaking out and I started somewhat hyperventilating, not knowing what to say. I start texting my friends asking them what I should say.
