I groggily opened my eyes to find myself in my new dorm room, my skin itching like crazy. I rubbed my arms and legs, wincing at the familiar prickle of mosquito bites. At least fifteen, maybe more. I could've sworn I'd gotten a decent night's sleep, but it seemed the mosquitoes and that miserable excuse of a girl had other plans. If only my new roommate had kept the windows closed, I might've slept like a baby. But judging by her disheveled appearance and the way she rubbed her own arms, it seemed she hadn't had a peaceful night either. As she shouldn't have had. In fact, I vaguely remember waking her up around 3 a.m., threatening her to come out into the darkness and kill all mosquitoes that had invaded our space. She'd finally get out of her bed to kill all mosquitoes before finally closing the windows and stumbling back to bed. I fell asleep around 3:30 a.m., but my rest was brief. At 8:00 a.m., the sunlight streaming through the windows woke me up. I got out of bed, feeling a bit groggy, and decided to take a walk around campus to see the new first-year students who were arriving today.

I hatched a plan with some of my friends to start the day with breakfast at Anne's, followed by a bit of fun - specifically, a prank on the new group of students who were rumored to be a bit on the nerdy side. But our day took an unexpected turn when we stumbled upon a different group of friends at Anne's cafe, and before we knew it, our plans for mayhem were replaced with an entirely new and unexpected twist.
