It has been 2 years ever since the conflict between my kingdom and the human realm.. It was horrifying.. Seeing mermaids and mermans get taken away from there homes.. Just like mother..

I snapped out of my thoughts as I realized I zoned out from playing tag with my brother. He looked at me in confusion still holding a flower in his hand looking a bit worried.

"Something on your mind..?" My brother said while his eyebrows furrowed as he patted my head.

"It's just.. I miss mama.." My voice shivered as I speak, staring back at my brother's golden sparkling orbs, he seems a bit shocked at my answer but his expression change into a more sorrowful one.

"I know.. I do too, but we can't do anything about it.. " My brother said feeling uneasy about what to say. He looked down as he put his hands on my shoulder, I know his heart is aching in the inside with that expression of his.

"Why can't we do anything about it..?! It has been two years, why do we just stand here literally doing nothing about what happened 2 years ago?!" I said while my tears were falling down through my cheeks in each word that I said, cletched onto my clothes feeling so upset. I didn't mean to yell at my brother, I just couldn't take it anymore.

My brother was taken aback by my sobbing, He was worried for me and just carries me back to my room, "That's enough play time for now." He said calmly but has that same expression on his face, filled with sadness.

I took a glance at him while my dry tears are still on my cheeks, he looked back at me with a worried face. "Do you need anything else?"he said with a calm tone as he looks at my surroundings, I placed both of my hands on my tail and looked down. "No, I don't need anything.. " I firmly said while my frown was still on my face not leaving what's so ever.

"Well just call the sevants if you do.. See you later pearl.." I couldn't quite hear the last part since it sounded like a whisper but before I could ask what he said, he already left and closed the door shut and I was already left alone in my room of course.

I stood up and grab something out from my drawer, it was a music box.. It was shaped like a shell with pearls and a cute blue ribbon on top. It was given by my mother as gift for my 6th birthday.. I sigh in relief as it was safe and sound.

I sat down back at my bed and starts and opened it, as I opened it there was a small figure of me and my mother in it dancing together, I smiled softly as tears starts foaming from my eyes once again.

I clicked the button of the music box to hear a melody playing from the box as so I sing along with the melody...

"Nais kong.. Liparin ang hipapawid.. ~"
"At.. Maabot ang lupa at langit.."
"Nais kong marating ang asul na dagaat~.. "
"At languyin.. Ang kanyang rikit.."

"Nais ko mahinga ang kadugan ni ina.. "
"Lasapin ang kanyang haplos"
"Nais kong marating a paraiso.."
"Upang doon ay mapahinga nitong
Pagod kong puso.. "

I hummed with the music while my eyes are closed.. I moved a long the beat as my tears pour every time.

"Sa pangarap lang..! Makakamtan.. Ang
Inaasam.."
"Sa pangarap lang malalasap."
"Ang saya nitong buhay. "
"Sa pangarap lang maghihintay.."
"Sa pangarap aking mahal.. ~"
"Doon ako'y maghihintay..!"
"Sa pangarap makakamtan ang
Inaasam..~"
"Sa pangarap lang malalasap."
"Ang saya nitong buhay.. ~"
"Sa pangarap lang maghihintay.. "
"Sa pangarap aking mahal~!"
"Doon ako'y maghihintay.. "

I gulped and cried my heart out before the last line but still smiled and hugged the music box.

"Aking mahal.."

Then the music start disappearing and the music box closed, I hugged the music box tight and didn't let go of the of it while my tears falls down to the floor. "I wish we could meet again mama.." I said as I slowly fell down to my bed and closed my eyes, I was already fast to sleep.

As I finally woke up it was already the next day, I fluttered my eyes and looked to see my music box still with me, I smiled softly and got out of bed. I put back the music box in my drawer and started combing my hair.

I ringed my bell because I realized that my personal maid hasn't given me my breakfast yet.

After a few minutes the door suddenly creeked open to see my personal maid Mindanao not bringing a tray of food this time. "Mindanao.. Aren't I supposed to have my breakfast by now?".

I looked at Mindanao with a confused look while stopped combing my hair, Mindanao bowed while her hands were both together on her lap"Princess, the Emperor, your father request to have a family breakfast with you and your other siblings." She said and stopped bowing.

"Oh, I'm glad papa is having breakefast with us!" I said with smile on my face as I got up from my bed and walked towards my big window to open the curtains from blocking the sunlight.

"Would you like me to help you get ready for your bath and attire for today, Princess?" Mindanao said with a calm tone while smiling from the reflection of mirror.

"That would be very helpful Mindanao!" I said joyfully while I turned my head back to face Mindanao. She smiled back at me and bowed, "ill get your bath ready princess..! I will call you if it's ready!".

I smiled and watch as my personal maid (Mindanao) gathered 2 more maids (Luzon, Visayas) to get ready for my bathing.

As I waited patiently, I saw sea horses, fishes mermaids and mermans playing and roaming around the kingdom.

A few minutes later

"Your bath is ready, princess..!" Visayas called out from the bathroom and I went in.
They helped me clean myself as I relaxed in the bathroom, as I was finished they also helped me get ready for my outfit.

As I finally chose an outfit to wear, they helped me wear it as well. When I was done they got to my hair and made it to a side pony tail. Luzon added a bit of pearls and ribbon for the finishing touches.

"You look so adorable, princess!" The maids said in awee as they complimented me. I smiled softly at them, "Thank you so much!"  I said with a lively tone and it made them fall by my cuteness.
